I work outdoors. These keep me cool and protected from the sun, bugs, thorns, you name it. High quality material, great fit, love the elastic cuffs (most similar brands are loose - fine for play - but when I’m working I want my cuff to stay put), breathes well, love the hood (especially over a ball cap - best of both worlds for sun shade), and if you buy a light color drops your core temperature several degrees. I live in San Diego, California and these shirts are perfect. I've gone on many bike rides in 85 plus heat and don't even feel the sun. The hood is excellent for keeping the sun of my neck. Used in conjunction with a frog tog towel around the neck and you're good to go.
