I’ve djed for about 7 years. I’m 23 and can hear sound quality great. I had a $1200 EV subwoofer I returned and got this. Sounds not AS good but still not noticeably different to the normal persons ear. You can feel the bass, the kicks, and it’s crisp and deep. AMAZING for the price. My first one burnt out after completely pushing it to the limit 24/7 in fog filled rooms, lasted about 3 years. Bought another and it’s the updated version it’s even nicer. Customer service doesn’t speak very good English but they’re somewhat helpful. I recommend. I usually play rap, dubstep, and country (nice variety right?) and it sounds great on all genres ... show more

    • Perfect for a sound system!!
The media could not be loaded. This subwoofer is a perfect addition to any sound system. It throws out the bass nice. I have my system running from my little sunbuck amp (that I use as a preamp) to the subwoofer, then to the Harman Kardon receiver. I use the Sunbuck amp for my Bluetooth receiver and also use the equalizer on it. Also I use the Sunbuck amp to plug in my bass guitar to practice. The subwoofer I have crossed over at 100hz. Alot might crossover at 80hz. I just think it sounds a lot better at 100hz due to the high pass crossover starts at 100hz that goes to my Harman Kardon to push my loudspeakers. In my loudspeakers I changed out the woofers for a pair of Blast King 12". Overall I am very pleased with this subwoofer. It does not get hot on the back plate even after playing for a couple hours straight. There is no rattle in my backplate like others have said they had in there's. Mine came in as a 3000 watt P.M.P.O. not the 2000, so that was a plus. I would say this amp is perfect for whole house filling sound. Only cons about this is the constant smell of fish from amp. Not sure if that is going to go away. Also how others have complained, the power switch feels light. So fix was hooking up to a surge protector and just use that for the power. UPDATE: I changed out the subwoofer with a Skar 18" EVL dual 2 ohm. Then I changed out the power supply on this to a 600 watt rms one. This really pounds now. For those who just wish to change out the subwoofer, it is 4ohms. ... show more

    • More than what I bargained for...
I have a pair of Rockville BPA 225s (four 18 inch 1500w speakers) that sounded excellent at highs and mid ranges, the bass left something to be desired. I did a lot of research on subwoofers and started with the brand names which were pricey. I read the reviews about Proreck and decided to buy one. This subwoofer is huge and you will get your strength training and cardio in just taking it out of the box. I turned my Rockville BPA 225s at 25% ( that is all I my ears can stand while practicing in my mancave). I played soul ll soul-back to life and turned on the Proreck subwoofer at 25% and OMG, the bass was hitting me in the chest and my awards and decorations in my display cases started moving (I had to go back and fix). The Rockville BPA 225s and Proreck 18 inch subwoofer is a combination that is affordable with outstanding performance for parties with 500 people or less. I can't wait until the wifey go to work next week, so I could rearrange some furniture bass wise. ... show more

    • Wow!!! Pull the trigger, this bad boy bangs!!
I ordered this to ad to the Proreck Party 15 speakers! The party 15s are super loud by themselves, but they really didn’t drop the bass like I wanted.. I actually received the PR-18 subwoofer and incorrectly hooked them up to the party 15s.. after consulting with customer support, I sorted out and WOW!!! Finally the bottom dropping bass you can feel in your soul!! I literally had the police at my door within 15 minutes of testing it all out! (True story). This thing is a beast! It’s big, and heavy! It definitely a quality build and probably overkill for what I wanted, but I LOVE IT!!! Customer support was beyond helpful with every question and issue I had! If your on the fence, just go ahead and pull the trigger, it’s great, you won’t be disappointed! ... show more

I bought this to add bass to my radio stations remote setup. This has a lot of power for the money and will easily fill a 25 car parking lot or a school gym with sound. The coating on the exterior is easy to keep clean. Just wish it had wheels. I use a furniture dolly to move it.
