I am a long time Birkenstock lover and have invested hundreds into the real deal. There is obviously a quality difference between the two, but that being said, I have to say that I'm very impressed with these. Pros: The felted wool is a really nice quality. They are super comfortable and didn't take any time to break in. There is a little cushion pad for the heel that makes them really comfortable. They're super cute and at first glance, they absolutely pass as Birks. Cons: The "cork" footbed is not really cork, or at least it doesn't look like Birkenstock cork. The wool has pilled a tiny bit on top where it rubs from my jeans. My biggest "complaint" is that the sole is not grippy at all and I tend to slip on my tile floor. Overall, I love these and would repurchase them again. I like to have a knock around pair of these that I can use and not put wear and tear on my real Birkenstock pair when I don't need to. Overall, I recommend these, and only wish that they would change the sole to be a deeper tread to make them more grippy and safer! *Side note, according to other reviews, they ran small. I am normal a size 9 and ordered a 10. The 10 fits great, so I agree that they do run small. Size up!! ... show more

Pretty pleased with the purchase ! I am a nurse who works 12 hour shifts and I wanted new Birkenstocks without the price tag. I do appreciate the plushness of the sole of the shoe, but they do feel a little stiff, hoping to break them in. They are soooo comfortable. I wore white socks with them for a day and no color transfer from the soles. I am normally a woman's 9. I ordered and had to return the size 9 because too small. Size 10 are perfect! I definitely recommend spraying these with a water repellent. My step son has a pair of real Burks and they look identical.
