  • Very cute midcentury look
Color: Nickel
Really like this lamp! I replaced one of the many “boob lamps” in my renovated house. This light added a more Mid Century Modern feeling back into my 1959 ranch. I suggest getting the GE “Reveal” light bulbs. They have a blueish tint which counters the yellow-ish tint of the shade and makes the lighting a lot better. I put regular warm LED bulbs in and DH said it looked like a funeral home light. Haha. But the Reveal bulbs fixed the that! ... show more

  • Installation tip to save glass breakage!
Color: Nickel
It's a decent fixture for the price and fits the currently popular aesthetic. As mentioned in many reviews, the instructions are pretty worthless and consist of a few drawings. That said, if you've installed light fixtures before, it should be pretty easy for you. The problem that stumped me originally and I think is what led to so many reviews talking about the glass shattering on installation it the nipple, or "center post" as some have called it. It's only too short if you follow the diagram and screw it completely into the base (the part where the bulb sockets are.) If you do that, you'll have difficulty in the final step of installing the glass lens. To avoid that, after you screw it in, back if off about 1/4". (It'll still be secure and fixed in place with the hex nut.) That way, when you come to the final step, you'll have enough length to use all the washers and the decorative ring and finial. And, you won't have to "snap" the glass into the shade. (Note that if you back off the nipple/center post too far, there will be a gap between the glass lens and the fabric shade, so more is not better!) ... show more

  • Stylish and well-priced; install instructions are WORTHLESS
Color: Nickel
I installed four of these to replace the outdated built-ins at my condo. Overall the quality is terrific for the price. Other sites have the exact same light listed for $160-200. The product basically comes with ZERO instructions, however. There’s a poor drawing that doesn’t outline the nuances of where to place screws in the mount. INSTALL TIP: Place the 2 long screws (inserted on the reverse side of the ground screw) at 2 holes on the second to last ring of holes on the ceiling mount. If you don’t do this, then the attachment screws won’t align with the holes on the light. (SEE PHOTO) INSTALL TIP 2: Do not put the bolts onto the ceiling mount for the long screws like the diagram incorrectly shows. Wait to screw on the bolts until the light fixture is placed onto the ceiling mount. If you don’t do this the light will not be flush with your ceiling. INSTALL TIP 3: The brim of the shade is slightly smaller than the plexiglass. You will have to use force when installing the plexiglass to push it into the brim. Don’t let this surprise you and don’t be afraid to apply even pressure to get the plexiglass into the brim. ... show more

  • glass breaks easily.
Color: Bronze
Good looking light Sits about 1/2” from ceiling Decent illumination Installation easy until you get to the glass Frosted glass, not plexi, breaks easily. Putting it on in the end there aren’t many threads left on the bolt to secure the glass. Easily overtightened and shattered the glass. Would keep if could easily get a replacement plexi piece. Sent a message to seller, rapid response, will replace glass but it’s on backorder. ... show more

  • Stylish, great price
Color: Nickel
I live in a 1960s rambler and light fixtures are hard because my ceilings are low. Not only are these stylish, but they Are a great fit for the size of our home. We put one in our hallway and one in our entryway. My husband and I are not electricians and have never installed lights and we installed them in about an hour and a half. I’m only getting four stars instead of five because there was some issues during install. There was a long screw in the middle and we were not able to use all of the washers included because the screw wasn’t long enough to finish installing the whole thing. Other than that everything went very well and I think for the price they are a good buy. I listened to the other reviewer and I was very careful when I installed the piece of glass at the end. I had no issues with that. Another negative is that you have to basically take a whole piece of glass off to replace lightbulbs. Which I think will be a big pain in the butt, but I am using LED so hopefully they will last several years before I have to replace them again. ... show more

  • Overall nice lighting but not easy to install and lacking Quality Control
Color: Nickel
Lowering my review to 3*s. I ran into problems returning the final lamp (with the pictured bent shade). They sent a replacement but then I only had ~5 days to get the old one back to them. Was not able to do that given other commitments. So I will effectively pay for an extra ceiling lamp that is worthless to me. Original Review: These lamps are reasonably priced, well packaged and look great. The downsides include that they are not easy to install. It takes time and it's easy to get steps wrong or miss them entirely resulting in rework. Make sure the mounting plate is immovable, otherwise you will have trouble getting the fixture to attach. Even in the best case scenario I found these a bit complex to install. When it's time t mount the diffuser, make sure that the Stem is not too far into the fixture or you will not have enough space to attach the glass holder & finial. QC: I ordered 6, of which 5 were fine. The 6th one came with a cracked glass diffuser. This could have happened at the factory or during shipping. No big deal. Amazon promptly send a replacement. On this replacement, the Shade arrived bent (see picture). I may or may not ask for yet another replacement, we shall see. The quality control is not up to par. ... show more

  • Better than my old one
Color: Nickel
I got this to replace a "boob-light" construction-grade fixture in my home office. My husband is pretty good at handiwork but had a bugger of a time getting it installed. The instructions are kinda rubbish. And we agree with previous reviews that the threads are NOT long enough to make knob securing the glass feel sturdy. I do not look forward to changing the bulbs! I generally like the look (I was hoping it'd soften the light more than it does, unfortunately), but my husband thinks it's too "sterile" for the home. Good thing it's not his office! ... show more
