Normal nail again after years! Because my ankle turns (loose joint), I had developed a thick big toenail from repeated trauma, over the years, per a podiatrist (toe hitting against shoe). No had pedicure addressed the issue. In fact, some salons just left me bleeding trying to cut the nail. It was becoming hard at home to cut even with special tools. I was hiding my feet. This did the job. I can show my toes again and not struggle with that thick nail. It has a good number of speeds. Even at top speeds, does not seem like it could hurt you. No carrying/storage bag - but as expected for the price. Better than the ones with more attachments (that feel like you need an encyclopedia to understand parts). There are few instructions so you have to figure it out yourself on attaching pieces and such. At first I was having a hard time smoothing the uneven nail evenly to return it to a rounded, normal shape. I figured it out and and am pleased with the result. I read the 1 star reviews: the professional was disappointed but I think that is from mismatched expectations. The rest said the battery died in less than a year. I would have given the set 5 stars had it arrived with the same storage case it came with when my daughter bought the same set awhile back. When I ordered the set, I thought I would be getting the exact set my daughter purchased. I was disappointed to see the company has replaced a very nice storage case with a flimsy one that won't hold up under constant use. The drill and attachments I have used so far, work very well. Updated: Oct 2024. After posting this review the seller contacted me and refunded my money, so I am increasing my rating to 3 stars because 1. It did work well before it caught fire(!) 2. I got a refund Buying things shouldn't feel this chaotic but you get what you pay for I guess! ******* I purchased this product Aug 9. I used it three times. The first two uses worked great to smooth thick ridged nails. A few weeks later, my toenails had grown enough I needed to use it again. This time smoke poured out of the charging port accompanied by a burning smell. Now it doesn't even turn on. I'm outside the 30 day return window. Waste of money AND a safety hazard!! ... show more

So far I'm happy with the purchase. It takes a little getting use to but it certainly helps out with my arthritic hands as opposed to using a regular file. I tried it out on my nails on the baby setting, which is slow but you can ramp it up as it has different settings as well and end result despite the slowness, did the job. I normally get mani/pedi at the salon but while on the road, this would keep the length down until I get back to see my regular gal. I haven't tried all the adapters and some I'm not sure I'd even use but they're at least an option if need be. There's a little light on the wand, helps to see and a plastic adapter to keep the dust at bay (which I did not use). Comes in a sturdy box and each adapter has its own slot; plus it's cordless and rechargable. I tested it out on the husband and he compared it to his Dremel! It received his approval. Anyway, I would recommend at least giving a shot if you're on the fence. And another plus, it comes with instructions! ... show more
