Easy to blow up, just like a balloon, no inflation gadget necessary. I under-inflated just a bit, just like my gym does, to allow a little give and yet support. Held air well after 2 weeks. As for the negative review regarding damaging surfaces, it does have a warning and says it’s some kind of softening agent, and every manufacturer seems to get the same complaint. I’m sure this ball has its uses but it is too soft for my needs. I bought for physio strength building exercises. Very soft and I’m afraid of popping it. You’ll want to have your own pump to inflate this because it doesn’t come with one, unless you consider a straw a pump. A yoga block is working better for my needs at the moment. ... show more
