I played a lot of ping pong years ago so I’m not up on the latest paddle technology. My go to brand was Butterfly and these paddles seem to be quite good. Don’t know about the durability yet, haven’t had them long enough to determine that.

I've found the PRO-SPIN Ping Pong Paddle 4 player set to be ideal for family use, From my novice kids who were able to quickly adapt to the bounce and consistently return balls to the intermediate who enjoyed long and challenging rallies.
