I am a connoisseur of bicycle bells. This Pro Bike Tool brand is my favorite. It takes up minimal space on handlebars and is easy to mount securely. It's louder than most bike bells and has a beautiful sound due to good craftsmanship, shape, and being a real brass bell made in UK. It's easy to use and very reliable. I originally ordered the shiny brass colored bell because it's so beautiful. Unfortuneately, it reflects a brilliantly bright glare into my eyes on sunny days. So I am going to return the shiny brass colored bell and then buy a black bell of the same brand and model. I highly recommend this bell, but consider if you want maximum beauty or function. The brass colored brass bell is visually beautiful, but put glare in my eyes on sunny days. The black colored brass bell looks drab, but creates no glare. So the black is completely functional, including for your vision on sunny days. All colors of this bell are brass and will sound excellent. This bell takes up less room on the handlebars than any other good bell that I know of. The price of this Pro Bike Tools (PBT) brass bell is so low and affordable that you may wonder if it's junk or quality. IMO it's quality is top notch and as good quality and sound as the best (much more expense) brass bells made by Crane, Lezyne, and Cateye. But the PBT bell takes up much less space on handle bars. So for that reason, this PBT brass bell is the best bicycle bell made. So choose your color with that ^ in mind. ... show more

It comes with 2 different sized O-rings for you to choose from, depending on your handlebar thickness. The included ones were just big enough to squeeze onto my carbon crossbar at first, then switch to a smaller O-ring to put on a different crossbar later. You could feasibly use whatever o-ring or band you can find, a zip-tie, or even some cord if you're good at firm knots. Physically, it's medium sized and loud. The media could not be loaded. Been using this for almost a year now. Well built, sturdy & consistent ring tone, Great for alerting pedestrians & other cyclists in close proximity. Not loud enough to alert cars moving in the streets unless they are slow, stopped and have their windows down (and not talking on their phone). But a bell w/ a louder ring to alert motor vehicles will cost 3X more than this. I’m pleased with this bell and recommend it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Tl;DR: Bells as product was good enough for me to reorder 2 more. 5 stars for actual product. Minus 1 star for the scuffing, minus 1 more star for scuffing on the two bells at identical locations showing that the problem may be in the packaging. I acknowledge the small sample size. Watch the video for scuffs and for samples of the ring (at the end). Otherwise a great product. At first I thought they may have sent me a used or returned item(s). Upon minor investigation, I noticed that the marks on the bell corresponded to the sides of the box they rest on. I can only surmise that these two recent buys might have sat for a bit in stock allowing time for them to be moved around thus the sides of the box have time to rub on the bell house. It's the case of water making the Grand Canyon. Using a rag, I was able to clean off most of the markings upon initial open. In the video, I used the reflected light from my led to highlight the markings; and one of the photos shows the product with respect to the packaging it came in. I'm keeping the bells because I can explain where the markings come from and can appreciate the environmentally friendly packaging. The seal was never broken. The fix is by easily placing a strip of saran food wrap where the scuffs would occur, if the company attempts a solution, I hope they would consider an environmentally friendly method that doesn't involve just bagging the product though I can understand the economics of it. Another possible solution is to wrap the smaller of the 2 provided rubber O rings around the bell housing thus providing the barrier ( I don't know what new marks that might make over time). The bells as a product, I enjoy. Visually appealing, almost cute. Cute enough and simple enough, I gave mine to my very young niece for her first bike, forcing me to order more. A nice crisp ting to the sound. Nice patinas. I ordered one prior to this recent purchase and I liked it enough to order these two red and brass ones additionally. Sample of ringing at the end of the attached video. In case there are people as neurotic as I am, I included one pic with the bell resting on its side and on top of the rubber o rings but note that the box won't close appropriately of packaged that way. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I’m sure they are the same as any bell you can find on Amazon. We’ll see how it works when I go ride tomorrow. The stock horn was too quiet on the urban streets and some people were skating with head phones on and I had to scream “BEHIND YOU” hopefully I won’t have to stick to dual car horns.
