Description

Satisfies the needs of fusers firing on the high end of the fusing range (1500OF-1550OF). Primer starts to turn into a fine powder in the fusing range (approximately 1200OF) allowing glass to “float”. Won’t stick to glass or shelf, eliminates scaling on transparents, and can be removed with a brush or vacuum. No scraping! Not for priming forms or slumping. - 5 lb. Tub

There are a few shelf primers available and each has their pros and cons. Primo Primer offers a slicker surface for some of the casting work I do and the color-- purple or now pink-- helps when you want to make sure that you've covered everything that needs to be covered. Granted, the purple stained more than just what you were coating, and the pink, if it gets on your skin, makes you look like you've had a bit of sun. Love it, works great on my kiln shelf, and molds! I do find that it takes longer to dry for me than i expected, so i end up putting it in the kiln to dry.
