    • Air duct hose is same diameter as the fan and filter.
The kit is well worth the money. I priced out the same parts at a local hydroponic shop and every item was triple the price for the exact items. The only gripe I have is the fact that the hose given to fit the fan and filter, is the exact diameter as the fan and filter. Meaning, you then have to run to the hardware store and purchase an adapter pipe to make the connection fit. Other than that, the kit is a great value for the money! ... show more

This set up is great for small grow room or green house . The price is a steal for what you get . Fan is not loud, even at highest rpms set on the controller. Moves air (exhaust/intake) and filters as needed in correct conditions and coverage area . i will be buying more and do recommend to other growers . helps with more then just the smell . great product great price and showed up 2 or 3 days after i ordered . before scheduled time which is awesome. ...! ... show more

    • Filter fail after 6 weeks into flower with two plants.
REVISION: Customer service read my review and contacted me to provide a replacement filter which to-date is working fine. Important notes: This filter is probably good for one or maybe two average plants. High humidity can cause any carbon filter to become less effective. Also, the speed that the air flows through the filter affects it's effectiveness. Increasing rating from 3 to 4 stars. I have two very stinky large plants which may have overwhelmed this little filter when the humidity level went up in our basement. If it's humid, also use a dehumidifier. UPDATE: Really liked this combination of 4" fan/filter combo initially, quiet, nice combination of mostly useful stuff. The filter which is said to last for 1- 1.5 years on average completely failed 6 weeks into flower with two stinky plants. At first it was "hey, why does the upstairs bedroom smell like stinky plant?" OMG... is it in the room with us? The fan is great (so far) but the filter has taught me that it's better to spend your money on a good one, even with a small grow. ... show more

Was quite doubtful of getting the 4” fan kit, but it can still move some serious air even after the filter. I must say it works much better pulling through the filter rather than blowing out, so I have it setup as such, and only running on medium! My kit did not come with the hygrometer but within hours of emailing the seller, they had one out in the mail for me which came in a couple days. All other pieces were included, well packed, and work perfectly. ... show more

    • DO NOT BUY. BAD FILTERS AND PRODUCTS.
Absolutely terrible all the way around. I definitely want my money back. Carbon filter was old clogged and unusable. Completely blocked my airflow and killed everything. Apart from that the carbon filter and fan diameter are exactly the same size! Meaning you can’t connect them directly together. You all need some new engineers. They are supposed to be able to slide into one another but they are the same size. Took me forever to figure out the bad filter was causing a lot of issues. I recommend buying from ipower instead. Everything with this unit is bad and doesn’t assemble properly. Lots of headache. ... show more

I set up this system to recirculate the air without vent it out to exhaust and still get rid of 90% of the smell. It's amazing only 4" fan/filter combo does a great job. I am glad to make this purchase. 5-star rating based on * performance - excellent job * Price - best that I can find * It came with everything you need - not only it comes with fan/filter. it also includes a thermometer, timer, Fan Speed Controller (no need to run to the store to get the accessories to install the unit) ... show more

I liked the kit as a whole, the thermometer and timer seemed cheaply made and didn't operate like my existing units. The inline fan works flawlessly, my only gripe is the charcoal canister really doesn't neutralize the odor. It does however vent properly just wish the charcoal did what it was supposed to do. ****Update**** Make sure to check the equipment, the timer that was sent to me was used. I took mine apart seeing as I am out of the return window. Clear signs of liquid damage, learn from my mistakes picture attached downgrading from 3 stars to 1. ... show more

    • Worked good at first, didn’t last long.
I used this last year on my indoor grow tent and it worked well until flower then the smell became intense. I started a new crop this year and the plants aren’t even in flower stage and my entire house stinks. Do the filters need to be replaced? Would like to hear from the manufacturer.
