I watched a few videos on you tube to learn how to make melt and pour soap properly. It played off. The results were great. I do advise learning the trick how to properly mix mica asumming you use it to color your base soap. Also don't just look up how to make melt & pour soap. Also research what not to do. And how to properly store & get the correct heat if you are using a double boiler like I did. Also research the amount of scent so can add for 1lb. It helps so it can be perfect.     • An Overall Good Soap Base - A Little Softer Than Some Bases And Not As Clear

Overall this is a good soap base at a good price. I've used it in several dozen soaps so far, but I've mostly mixed it with another soap base. I've used Simple Serenity/Life of the Party sold at Michaels stores almost exclusively up until the last year or so when their prices went up something like $20 per ten pound container. Ridiculous!! I bought about 20 lbs of Primal Elements and found it to be softer than the Simple Serenity/Life of the Party brand, so I started mixing the two brands to create my soaps in an attempt to "firm up" the finished soaps a little. The Primal Elements also has a yellow-ish appearance and isn't as clear as I'd like it - see picture. I've been happy with the end results and will likely continue to mix these two brands for the foreseeable future. I will buy again as needed. I would recommend - keeping in mind I find it to be a little softer and not as clear as I'd prefer - but still good quality at a good price. ... show more

This soap base was great in a pinch… but the end product did sweat a bit more than my normal base… I could have heated it up more than it called for though, so that’s on me!

Easy to microwave and pour into molds. Be sure to cut into small pieces and try not to heat up too much at once.

    • False advertising
They lie about the ingredients. Got this soap because it says that all products are completely free of parabens and sodium lauryl sulfate. Yet all the products have sodium lauryl sulfate listed as an ingredient. It is a very nice soap that lathers well, just wish it was all natural as advertised.
