I was debating between the Love By Design One Shoulder Body Con Midi Dress and this dress, essentially a knock off version, for my bridesmaid dress for my friends wedding. After barely squeezing myself into a size medium designer dress, which limited movement and wasn't even in the color that was my first choice anyways, I decided to give this dress and a shot and I'm glad I did. Some pros: material is better than expected quality for the price, it's stretchy and allows for easier movement, and if you remove the small tag it's effectively reversable and can be worn on either shoulder. Some cons: since the material is stretchy and it's cheaper than the "brand name," it probably won't maintain its form fitting look and lose it's wearabilty much quicker. As the love by design dress isn't stretchy, has to be zippered up in the back so it can only be worn on the same shoulder, and made from higher quality materials, it will probably stay in my closet longer and be worn to other formal events. But for my friends wedding where mobility and comfort are key, this dress is absolutely the clear winner and worth every penny. ... show more

This is a fantastic, comfortable, slightly secy little dress! And, Bonus: it's really wrinkle resistant, because of the ruching, so it's great if you have to travel. Jst slip in it.. & you're done! I am usually always a medium. Im 5.5in, 135lbs, 38B-C (which is 10-12lbs heavier than I usually am) so I want sure about sizing. I tend to carry any extra weight in my middle, so I tried both a M & L. While I could have gone with the medium and still have been reasonably comfortable, I opted to go with the large; it was just more roomy in my stomach. It was slightly loose on top so instead of going braless, I wore a lightly padded strapless bra which took up the little bit of room on top. Overall this dress worked great! More importantly, I was actually comfortable, which normally isn't the case for us ladies when need to get dressed! ... show more

I purchased this dress for an outdoor October wedding in the South. Sizing was true to size. Im 5’5 and 122lbs and wear a small/4-6 in most clothing and I ordered a small. It fit like a glove! It is lined and I wore nude/beige under and you could not see through. The green is a true emerald green and is so pretty in person. I received many compliments on the dress! I bought this on a whim after searching for weeks for a dress for multiple upcoming weddings. I finally said eff it and ordered a few. I got it. I tried it on. Here is what I can say: (For reference I am 5’5” 200lbs and built like the finest Idaho potato you’ll find) 1. I figured I’d need shapewear. After trying it on without, I’m confident I will not have to suffer through 8+ hours of being squeezed in. The ruching on it hides the rolls very well all the way around. I have an irrational fear of bodycon dresses because of my shape. This dress helped that. 2. The material is thinner than I expected but seems to be quality (I’ll update if that changes after I actually wear it for the long haul). It’s silky and looks expensive. I absolutely love this dress; however, I ordered a Medium and was sent a Large. I am unable to return and wait for a replacement as my event is tonight.
