I'm planning on using this for my Viking costume for Halloween but if it's durable, I can see myself using this for other things like Renaissance Fairs, pirate costumes, etc. I am 5' 0" tall and typically wear a size 12-14 in women's clothes (US) and the large tunic fits great. I would not go smaller else the shoulder area would feel too snug to move. Wash instructions say its machine washable in cold with like colors and can be tumble dried on low or line dry in shade. I know that's important to me because ain't nobody got time to hand-wash or pickup dry cleaning when you're busy raiding! This is JUST the tunic and does not come with a belt. I purchased this for my husband for a renaissance fair. He's 5'10" and 230 lbs. I got him a X-large and it fit him very well. The trim is very nice and decorated. I would recommend a belt around the waist if you're going to use it for a Renaissance fair as it provides a better shape with it.
