Very thick, and super soft bassinet mattress protector. Love the panda design, very cute. Baby love it when her sheets need to be washed. Honestly you could probably get away with no sheets and just this protector on it. It's very cute, and super helpful.

I also smelled it deeply to check for any nasty chemical smells, and was happy to find absolutely no odor whatsoever! Package says charcoal infused, so perhaps that is why its so free of odor. This is the first crib mattress protector that I've ever used of this style- all the others (there have been several) have gone over the mattress like a fitted sheet. This one is a zippered bag that goes completely around the mattress. It was easy to put on and zipped up nicely. The sheet was easier to put on than with the other style of mattress pad because of the texture of the protector vs. the smooth surface of the mattress.
