At 10:00 a.m. the day after the hurricane I put The oil in it, one quart put it right on the mark.. .put 3 and 1/2 gallons of gas in it, didn't fill it up but that's all I had, turn the fuel lever on and expected to pull it three or four times. The first pool wasn't a very strong one so I got a better pull the second time and it fired right up, purring ... Started plugging things in and I ran my small AC unit My small refrigerator and my computer without even putting a lug on the engine. .. when I use the coffee maker I heard it ever so slightly lug down barely. .. but I ran it eight continuous hours on 3 and 1/2 gallons, And I started off still had another hour and a half of fuel in it. ... I thought I would have to fill it up every 5 hours but this thing has really impressed me. Everything feels high quality except the red side panels which are plastic of course. But they don't matter. .. if you just run the basics I would highly recommend this generator. Kept me cool kept my drinks cool ran my computer and made coffee with ease ... show more

Took less than five minutes out of the box for me to add oil and gas and have power after going without for over a week after hurricane beryl hit lake Jackson tx. I now have a window unit ac running in my living room, lights, and my refrigerator is working for the first time in over a week. I can charge my phone! I even did a load of laundry! Having something like this is a game changer after the devastation of a hurricane. It has run non stop for two days now, and I highly recommend. It always starts on the first or second pull, and it is easy to pull start. It runs smoothly. I hear my neighbors generators cutting in and out, rough idling and stopping all together sometimes. I haven't had any of those problems the power is consistent and smooth. The only drawback to this unit is that it weighs 96 lb. It takes two people really to move it. It works well, acceptable noise level & uses far less gas than our old one. So far we are quite pleased with it. Update: It broke down after two months, the motor literally blew up. Soon after talking to Generac we took it to an authorized repair shop where it’s set ever since. Generac has come up with nonsense we need to supply to prove we were doing the appropriate maintenance in the two months it worked. Today the repair shop claims Generac requires RECEIPTS to prove we bought OIL! Who keeps things like that?! Oh but the repair shop kindly offered to get rid of the generator for us aka they’ll fix n sell it! So now we have to drive 4 hours round trip to pick up our broken generator next week. Their so called 3 year warranty I was so excited about isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. I really thought this was a good deal but wound up getting scammed. Please don’t waste your money. FYI my husband said the motor has a balance shaft in it which it doesn’t need so the heavy vibration causes the balance shaft to bang around in there which caused the damage to the motor ending in its destruction. He’s a recently retired mechanic n couldn’t understand the purpose behind the unnecessary shaft unless it’s added to cause said damage ensuring the necessity of replacement parts or buying a new generator.
