This review is for New Double whisk + Improve Motor - PowerLix Milk Frother (Milk Pro), which replaced a similar device that had a few week lifespan (purchased from that major department store chain from Sweden). Despite having the 19k rpm motor (overkill for my usage), this design works great for stirring my tea/coffee (especially my paleo recipe that includes coconut and unsalted butter). On the Milk Pro model, the button on this unit must be pressed to keep the motor active, this allows you to quickly stop stirring before anything spills over the top of your cup. I also found the stand fits perfectly on top of an expresso saucer (to catch the drips falling off the double whisk). The stand is a nice addition as our prior device had the shaft end up ever so slightly bent from laying it on it's side using that same saucer to catch drips. I also like this better then the other models where the button is on until you push it again to turn it off. While that is probably great for frothing a large volume of milk or whipping eggs, it is not a feature I want for stirring coffee in a cup were I may need to cut power quickly to avoid slinging coffee everywhere. The battery compartment does NOT require a screwdriver to access, and the cover snaps closed without issue. It uses 2xAA batteries for power. Hopefully I'll never have to use the lifetime warranty, but it's nice to know it has one if I do need it for some reason. If any issues arise, I'll update my review ** see below. 4 week update - we are starting to see issues with the activation button. Sometimes it does not work at all when pressing the button, other times it acts like the battery is almost dead (even with a fresh set) and stirs very slowly and sometimes eventually getting up to speed (but not always). Device is probably used 4-6 times a day to stir coffee/tea. Update: Life happens. Along with lots of folks around the world, 2020 became a personal financial disaster for my family, and required our full focus on other things. Following up on a whisk was quickly forgotten until this month when I finally got around to emailing Power-Lix Customer Service ( support@power-lix.com ). For reference, that was 1year and 2 weeks after my original purchase on Amazon. They responded the next day and even before we discussed any details - they assured me they would do whatever it took to take care of my issue, and they specifically stated that they were happy to send me a replacement right away. One more round of emails over the next two days (needed my Amazon order # and address info), and my replacement was on the way at no cost to me. In total, it was only six days from my initial email until I had the replacement whisk in hand. *It would have been much shorter had I just included the Amazon order number and my address information in my initial email. Even though the initial device failed, I'm still upping my review to 5 stars because they honored their lifetime warranty. I think it's fair to give them the benefit of the doubt, and assume my initial experience was a one-off issue. If this one fails, I'll update my review accordingly. ... show more

Worked great for almost 1 1/2 years then died out of the blue, but for the price that's not bad. Very powerful and handy to have the stand included.

    • Better than I thought - Deserves Six Stars!!
This frother is very powerful. It froths whole milk literary in a few seconds. I was surprised when tried it for the first time. I ordered a different brand not long ago and was quite disappointed. The other brand was very hard to hold and did not froth well. This product is very easy to grip. It froths the whole milk so fast I was pleasantly surprised. One star missing is because it actually provide 6 month warranty, not lifetime warranty. Even though it is a very good policy already compared to others, it is better if the seller makes it clear beforehand. Another minor issue is that one of the plastic sleeves on the stand is missing when it's delivered. I am waiting to hear back from the support crew. Will upgrade the rating when I receive the replacement item. Update 12-14-2019: The seller responded to my message within hours. Then I was surprised with a replacement at my door in 2 days. This is literally the most efficient seller ever. While waiting for the response, I tried 2% cold milk. The frother turned the milk into foam in 3 seconds. Ooh, is this a lightning speed competition? I purchased this product in 2019. I liked the design, ergonomics, function, ease of use, the stand.... everything. It worked great for a year or two, but then it started having problems. The frother would intermittently not work when the button was depressed. I tried adjusting and changing the batteries, but there was no improvement. Basically I would have to keep pressing the button and after a few tries it would work again. This issue became more frequent over the next two years, but I only use this product occasionally, so I made do. This past Christmas (2023) I was gifted (by coincidence) the same exact frother. I was very happy to have a replacement, and for nearly one month, it worked great (I'd say it had been used a dozen times at most). Today, the new frother was working fine but then, all of a sudden, it stopped working completely. No amount of button pressing is getting it going again (and I did try replacing the batteries as well). Very disappointed. ... show more

Has stopped working , change batteries , started to slowed , pushing the button was started to more difficult. No just will not work. Powerful, small nice stand . Easy to use . Arrived as expected. Looks an fits nice next to the coffee machine.

I don't usually write reviews a couple years after I've had a product, but I just wanted to say I have had this little frother for 3 years and it is still going strong. I have 2 of them and I thought one was broken because when I changed the batteries it wouldn't work. If this happens to yours, change the batteries again if you are sure you have the batteries going the correct way. The symbols for the bottom battery show the directions they go and make sure the top battery is going the opposite direction. Make sure they are securely pressed down into place. I had to change the batteries after moving and not using it for a year. Works fine now. If yours is truly broken, the company is very good about replacing it. I gave my daughter one for a gift and it stopped working. They sent her a new one. But, most of the time, it is just a new set of batteries or adjusting them. It's so easy to clean...just rinse. I like using it to blend eggs also. So many uses for it. It comes with a stand and I just keep it near my coffee maker. ... show more
