Perfect match a a much lower price than OEM. Seems slower than OEM but does work. Suggest watching U-tube videos to guide your install. Bolt at rear is problematic. Need a 1/4" socket set. Solved it by inserting bolt in socket with a layer of paper towel to jam it in place in the socket and then placing it into bolt hole at the back with a long extension. Secondly, when placing it you need to be sure to keep the small slotted plastic disc between the bottom of the motor shaft and the pump shaft in place .If its displaced the motor will turn but no pumping.(Guess how I found that out) Plan on 2+ hours if your first time. Also use a pull line when removing/replacing the wires ... show more

Not too bad to install if you can get the left transom bracket loose enough to get to all of the bolts holding it on the trim and tilt assembly. Reused the old o-ring because of other reviews said not to use the new one. Great product and works as it should. Would buy one again if needed.

Spent the money on this and it's not even the correct part. Now I can't get a refund and have to buy another part and lost another 3 weeks of boating.

    • Check the O rings!
I installed trim motor and it looked good till I installed the motor back on the boat and it didn’t work. After repeating and wondering what was wrong. I thought about the “O” rings. What they sent with the new trim motor was wrong. Good thing I thought about the old O ring. Taking it on a shake down cruise tomorrow. ... show more

Fit perfectly. Looked like it might not hold up well in salt water so I put several coats of oem Yamaha paint on it before installing. Works fine so far.

Plug and play replacement for the pricey Yamaha trim motor. Word to the wise though: This item comes finished in a thin coat of black paint that will start to rust through quickly (this is my 2nd replacement), so give it a couple good coats of paint before you install.
