  • Power Acoustiks is a force to be reckoned with!
I'm leaving this review now, (before I've installed it, just got it!) which is also why I rated only 4*, will revise after installing to either 5* or less depending on performance! I have a 1200RMS rated HDS3.1 15" Soundqubed Sub, & to power it I originally purchased an Orion Cobalt 2500.1D that after about 8 months shot craps on me, began to jump in & out of protection mode until I'd turn it off & back on. After bout 20 mins it began to jump in & out of protection mode again! So I jumped up to the Cobalt 3500.1, after less than 1mo. It too began the same issue! My G/F's ride I installed all Power Acoustiks system including the Razor 2500.1D with 2 PA Gothic 12" subs. Although I've always been a believer of installing only Top of the line products when it comes to audio systems & I've always known PA to be just a middle of the line Generic brand of audio components... I've continually been impressed by the performance of her system, not only does that TINY little razor Amplifier perform amazingly when it comes to SQ & overall output to her dual gothic 12" setup... but considering the fact that when installing it, she bought an installation kit that only had 8Ga. wire for power & ground which honestly isn't sufficient enough to power a 2500w amp when running it at 1ohm but that little amp STILL puts out unbelievable power & it's only 3/4 up on the gain & has BARELY been warm to the touch & that was after non-stop playing music for over a 4hr road trip! Just cruising around town for HR or 2 it doesn't even Change temp at all! It's honestly blown me away so I decided to give the 3500 RZR a shot! Since I've seen how well her razor performs, the size no longer worries me the only worry I have is the 2x40amp fuses, a fuse total of 80. Normally you multiply fuse total w/the voltage your feeding it, so 80Ax13.9V=1,112RMS & this is usually the closest estimate you'll get for RMS output @1Ohm...& for The RZR3500, PA states that at 1ohm this Amp does 2100RMS Which absolutely has to be an exaggerated rating! However as long as I clamp test it after hooking it up & see that it is capable of doing roughly the 1,112RMS that ohms law suggests it should do I'll be extremely happy with this Amp especially at this price point! I'll be installing it here in the next few hrs so as soon as I get finished, tune it in, & do a quick clamp test I'll be sure to give an update on this Amp. But if it performs even half as well as my G/F's Razor 2500 has, I'll definitely be more than happy! If so I'll definitely be a new believer in Power Acoustiks! ... show more

  • Not advertised at real rms power
I do like how this amp seems a little more responsive to the music however, when wired to 1 ohm only runs 900 watts rms not the full 2100 like on their spec sheet in the box and on their website. Its good for a 150 dollar amp but I later switched to a 1500 watt skar amp which performs at 1500 watts rms. ... show more

  • Big bang for your buck.
So this is a really great amp for the price I have two concerns though. First the amp did not accept 4ga wire as it mentioned it would you could get 4 gauge in there if you trim copper back from your end, but what would the point in that be you’d be near 8ga thickness by the time a 4 ga wire is going to fit. Second the amp runs 4 ohm super hard and stays ice cold which makes me think longevity of this device will be be fantastic, but for the price point I am concerned that poor-quality components might been used on the amp board where it might not hold up to constant use and normal wear. Hopefully I’m wrong on that assumption I want this thing to last, and running it cold at 4 ohm hopefully it will!! ... show more

  • Class D, good power distribution and utilization for compact size.
It does tend to get a little muddy down around 35 Hertz. But then again that could also be the dollar store Subs that I have. I will be upgrading and possibly updating this review. Does not seem to be pushing 3500 Watts though. As I have two 1600 watt Subs and it does not rattle my eyeballs.

  • Loud hummmmm
The issues I had were that I had to turn it all the way up to get the beats I wanted out of my 1200 watt speakers and there is a loud hummm when there is no music on and i accelerate. OH... I forgot. When the company contacted me they only wanted to replace the product (which would be nice if it wasn't working) but did not know anything about it or troubleshoot anything of it. This is supposed to handle way beyond my two 1200 watt speakers and it can barely keep up LOL. Good for the money but I would not recommend for someone with high end speakers. ... show more
