I was apprehensive of it being darker than in the photos based on other reviews, but looks exactly as shown (golden walnut finish). The wood looks sturdy, finish is fine, you can see minor imperfections if you scrutinise (e.g. wood joints slightly visible on the front edge where the bracket meets the top and bottom flat panel, hairline cracks in the board used to attach the legs to the base) but not a deal-breaker. Very easy to assemble - just screw in the legs with the included bolts. Looks simultaneously old and new at a great price point which is what I was going for - YMMV. ... show more

Have been using it for a couple months now and it’s part of my post divorce collection and it is serving its purpose and isn’t hideous. Looks nice and is sturdy and have gotten several compliments

    • Great table, inaccurate color
The table itself is great. Simple yet not cheap looking. The only problem I have is that the color is a lot darker than pictured. It's more of a greyish tone dark brown than walnut. It's a very nice color, however I had purchased it based on the pictured color to match my current furniture. It's a bit of a mismatch with my other furniture, but I decided to keep it because it would be too much of a hassle to return it because the box was so huge. Solid wood. Super easy to put together, you just have to screw on the legs. Color is warm and attractive. There was some small damage and imperfections in the corners of the wood but I just put that part of the table towards the couch. For the price the value is excellent. I admit, I was hesitant to order this table, especially for the price we bought it at. At the time, Amazon had the lowest price of any retailer. The table is excellent quality, beautiful wood that was very simple to assemble. Its large enough to put decorations on it and also have plenty of room for drinks/plates. The shelves are not only a nice addition design wise, but are also very functional. Overall, we've been very impressed with the quality of this and are quite pleased with our purchase. ... show more

    • Cute but not solid wood
I really like the styling of this coffee table, I'm just disappointed it's not made of real wood. The legs appear to be wood, the top of it is some sort of veneer. Which is probably a good thing for wear but I was hoping for a nice real wood table. It's very solid and study but it's got much more of a sheen to it than I expected and it has a very strong chemical smell I'm hoping will quickly dissipate. The color is also darker and the grain has quite a bit of contrast to the color of the wood compared to the photos. The wood pattern is a little busy. Depending on how fast this chemical smell takes to go away, I think I'll be keeping it. ... show more
