I can’t understand the bad reviews for this product. I’ve used both the spray and the laundry additive and both have worked perfectly. My guess is people aren’t following directions. Our cat peed on our couch and a throw that was on the couch, very large spots of urine. I actually first tried Rocco & Roxie odor eliminator on the couch cushion because it gets good reviews. Bought $100 worth of that stuff, followed directions exactly TWICE, and the urine smell was still there. That’s when I decided to try washing the couch cushion cover with Pooph laundry additive. It worked! Odor is completely gone, even washing in cold water and delicate cycle. I never tried the R&R on the blanket and decided to throw it in the washing machine using Pooph again. Took the urine smell out of the blanket in one wash! This stuff is expensive, but it is totally worth it. I’ve also used the spray version on my dog when he rolled in skunk spray and also on a spot on our rug where another cat peed and it worked both times. Just expect to use a lot of it. I don’t even bother with the spray nozzle, I remove it and pour so the area is completely saturated. If you do this, it’ll work. Expect to use almost an entire bottle on one odor spot. If you try to skimp and just make it damp, it’s not going to work. Just bite the bullet and invest the money it’s going to take to salvage your stuff. ... show more

I was skeptical but wanted to give it a try. Our clothes sometimes have a mildew smell to them and the people that owned our house before us had a smelly dog which lingers in our clothes. This completely got rid of the smell! I was impressed. I don't think it's meant to be a stand along laundry detergent. We add it along with pur detergent and it works well. I have three Yorkies, one is old and has trouble holding her pee and one has a brain injury and has trouble. I have puppy reusable puppy pads in the house and this laundry additive really helps to keep the smell down. Very easy to use, just add it to your laundry before the wash cycle. We don’t ever have animal smell on other things but I wash these puppy pads daily and this works great! ... show more

I know, that term is overused. But sick dogs and 60-something women can have little 'accidents' (if ya know, ya know). Smelly stuff can get spilled, and regular old washing machine detergent just may not get the job done. This product will. T-shirts that have retained that armpit stink because it's been worn so much it moved in to stay? Add this stuff to your washer (measuring cup included) and BOOM! Stink *evicted*. Pooph laundry additive is awesome. I washed all my dog's clothes and stuff in it and now they smell fresh and clean. Regular detergent just didn't get rid of the odor.
