Description

Just like the Polaroid cameras from the '80s and '90s, our 600 film is a favorite for many. 600 film is the most common film for vintage cameras because it contains a small battery in every pack. Got a new camera? Don't sweat it. 600 film works with our i-Type models too. You get 8 instant photos in every pack.

  • Really nice but nothing special
Style: White Frame Size: 8 Photos
People rave about using the 600 series film in newer Polaroid instant cameras like the Now and Now+ among others. Honestly, I got it thinking that there’d be some difference in exposure, color, or both. There is but it’s almost totally negligible. If I were to do it again I would make my purchase based on price, not hype because the i-Type and 600 series are basically the same with the i-Type not having a built in battery (because it doesn’t need one because the camera itself is its battery). The image quality is nice and I like it. I ended up mixing up some 600 series color photos with some i-Type photos and I could not tell you which was which and this was only like a day ago. I like the vintage aesthetic of the packaging and how thin it it. I know the new i-Type packaging also goes for that same aesthetic but there’s just something about the i-Type presentation, when compared to the old 600 series film, that makes it obvious they’re trying to make the new stuff look like it’s cool 90s stuff which I object to as a person who grew up as a child in the 90s and remember them fondly. Anyway, the photo quality is great. Maybe the 600 does get a little underexposed and you’ll want to keep that aperture open just a little longer if you can in low light. Clarity is what you’d expect from a 600 series. It’s crisp enough but not crisp. By that I mean you see what’s happening in the photo but it looks like an 80s/90s Polaroid which is a great aesthetic. In the end I think that your decision is going to be based on your technical knowledge of how instant cameras work, the hobby itself, and what’s cheapest. If you’re a casual instant photographer then I’d stick with the film your camera recommends not because it gives better results but because you may end up spending more money for something that you can’t even see the difference in. ... show more

  • When you need polaroids.
Style: White Frame Size: 40 Photos
Its still more expensive than I'd like, but the pack came as advertised. Mine were not expired like some other reviewers were having trouble with, so there's that. Would buy again.

  • Good, expensive.
Style: White Frame Size: 8 Photos
Good but kind of expensive. Seems to be going rate sadly, they used to have 10 so the cameras show 2 left when pack is empty.

  • Worked like a charm
Style: White Frame Size: 16 Photos
I was happy to use my 30 year old (approx) camera again. These film cartridges work!

  • Buy in bulk!
Style: White Frame Size: 40 Photos
The 600 film gets pricey buying it one package at a time so this is worth the buy to get it in bulk!

  • Instant photos
Style: White Frame Size: 16 Photos

Ten years ago I purchased a Polaroid One600 camera so I could bring with me when I travel. Recently I decided to take it out with a brand new set of film. I am an avid photographer and nothing attracts people more especially kids, than instant photographs. Unfortunately, as an avid photographer I am also pretty demanding when it comes to my pictures. These Polaroid instant photogrpahs don't even come close in quality to the cheapest, smallest camera I own. However, they can be a lot of fun ! At almost $3 a pop + the inherent lack of quality, you really have to be a Polaroid fan. I still have some family-album Polaroid pictures that my father took of back in he 1960's that look better than the ones out of this camera/film, plus they are bigger too. This is what inspired me to purchase this camera in the first place. Not to be too negative, if you have deep pockets, the pictures don't look too bad if you are not very demanding. You have to wait 15-20 minutes for the pictures to fully develop which is not exactly 'instant'. In the meantime the Fuji Instax film develops in a whopping 90 seconds which is infinately faster than the Polaroid ! If you like that Retro Polaroid look which a lot of people do, this film/camera combination can be quite interesting otherwise at this time the Fuli is a much better option. To be fair Polaroid has recently come out with the I-type camera and film which promises modern functionality and much better film quality. The I-Type film is also much cheaper than the classic cameras coming in at $2 a Pop ... ... show more
