Lint sticks to the lil guys and the paint can wear off. But it's no biggie, I'm going to buy a fabric paint set to repair them if need be, and as for the lint problem, one quick wash with water and they are back to normal, I don't even need soap! They are a great stress reliever even for adults, I have them kicking it next to my laptop always when I am working home office and they make my day! A plus too is that there isn't a bad smell to them at all, they didn't smell like chemicals to me upon opening which is great! But if you have a young kid that's playing with them don't be surprised if they get dirty or the paint falls off fast. These things aren't like a the foam squishies that have thicker paint on and some kind of clear coating, these are super soft mochi squishies which CAN make them more vulnerable to wear and tear -- but man oh man I freakin love them. My partner purchased these because she has ADHD and likes to have mindless stimuli around which helps her focus when she needs to focus. These are cute and really fun to squeeze. I don't have ADHD and still think these are fun to fiddle with. They come out of the packaging quite sticky so if you play with them right away they can get dirty quickly. Overall, this mochi toy pack isn't bad. I think they're a good deal considering the quantity/price/overall quality. We received a pretty good assortment, very close to the picture, but not an octopus (my favorite!), unfortunately, or a sleeping cat or dolphin. They were individually wrapped. They do have a pleasant, squishy feel! The face paint jobs on most of them were pretty good, but some of them had super tiny eyes and the shark had about half of his teeth. A couple of the squishies were permanently smooshed down pretty flat so there wasn't much to squish. They have a very slight smell to them - That oily, rubbery, petrochemical smell? - but it's not as bad as those sticky hands that you get out of the bubblegum machines. The smell may fade over time. Like those sticky hands and other toys similar this, they can leave a slight oily residue on some surfaces, like walls or paper. They feel pretty smooth right out of the bag, but I don't know if they'll get sticky over time either. We have a couple of these that we purchased, for more money, from a small store that sells little trinkets and toys like these: One of them is sticky and the other is not. The paint jobs aren't perfect, but better than some of the critters in this mochi pack we purchased on Amazon, and they don't have a smell to them (but I don't know if that's because we've had them airing out longer.) I think any of these mochi squishy toys you can buy just about anywhere are probably going to be a little hit or miss. Having to throw a few squishies out for faults means you're getting a little less than what you're paying for, so something to consider. I bought this when I was student teaching as goodbye gifts for my students, they loved them so much. They used it as pets and loved how squishy they were. My students were 4th and 5th graders. I am currently a preschool teacher and the kids enjoy having them in our classroom as calming toys. The only thing I dislike is when it gets wet it becomes sticky after it dries, but I learned that you can used cornstarch to make it less sticky after you wash it and dry them. ... show more

My daughter likes squishy toys so we thought we would get this pack for random surprise gifts when friends camebover, etc. Unfortunately, while they are cute, the faces come off with even gentle play. They were very sticky immediately out of the bag, so they get filthy dirty and a rinse in cold water makes them even stickier so makes the situation worse. Really they need to be tossed after fifteen minutes of being held. We've had other, similar squishy toys that held up longer so I was pretty disappointed with these. ... show more
