  • Luck Based Value
Style: 5 Boosters + 50 Cards
I got two of the Mega Collector's kit because there's a degenerate gambler buried deep inside of me and I've recently been addicted to watching card pack openings on tiktok. Here are my thoughts: Straight off the rip I want to say don't buy these if 1) you expect perfect PSA 10 bulk cards as some of the ones they provided were super beat up (but that was expected on my part) or 2) think you're going to get something amazing to sell later. I don't think that's a viable strategy (although ripping packs in general in hopes to sell them isn't either but we all know we're gonna do it anyway) however if you do want to get back in collecting and don't mind a roll of the dice this was a lot of fun. I got one card of value out of the random packs, an IR Tyranitar. One of the random Holos they gave was a Radiant Geninja, which super jebaited me because the TCGplayer app thought it was the Prize Pack version but even still it's a dope card. The included Trick or Trade packs threw me off a bit as I didn't know they only included 3 cards, but I ended up getting a Mimikyu holo and that's my fav pokemon so idgaf about there only being 3 cards. I also got a super cute Flying Pikachu V from the bulk they provided which will go into my now newly started collection. I honestly will just get rid of the bulk as that's the worst part of collecting imo. If you're planning on buying these as way to get something super high value that will shoot to the moon I would hold off. But if you're like me and just wanted to see what you could get I think these could fun to go through, very nostalgic for me. All in all I would probably buy these again, just not straight away I'd wait a bit before doing so. ... show more

  • Very solid for price, good for beginners
Style: 3 Boosters + 1 Foil
I got 5 packs, 4 were in very good condition one had the holo at the end and the last few cards bent unfortunately. Not a lot of duplicates and some pretty solid pulls. I would reccomnd this, I’ll probably be buying again soon.

  • Stick to the 3 Boosters + 1 Foil
Style: 3 Boosters + 1 Foil
I have purchased the 3 pack and the "Mega Collector's Kit". The three pack is a really good value and as advertised provides 3 random booster packs. The "Mega Collector's Kit" advertises itself as including 50 random cards (it does) and random holo (it does) and 5 packs which it does, however the two Trick or Trade packs only include three cards and it doesn't actually add up to 100 cards. Aside from that minor detail the 50 cards that are provided are nothing to get worked up over and the mini binder is as expected. Overall the "3 Boosters + 1 Foil" is probably the best option here. ... show more

  • Decent value overall
Style: 3 Boosters + 1 Foil
-- Sept 3, 2024 -- Curiosity got the better of me and I ordered twelve of the "3 Boosters + 1 Foil" (because I apparently forgot that booster boxes exist). I received 50% Chilling Reign and 50% Fusion Strike. Each package also came with two 2023 Trick-Or-Trade 3-card packs, despite not being mentioned in the product description. The clamshell blister packs looked okay and there were no obvious signs of tampering. I ripped 9 Chilling Reign and 9 Fusion Strike packs. All packs contained the correct number of each card rarity and in correct pack order. I received three hits (although I use the term "hit" loosely). Decent value; older packs at a bit of discount. -- Sept 12, 2024 -- Scarlet and Violet base... and 151! Great value on the lot this time around. -- Oct 2, 2024 -- Back to Chilling Reign and Fusion Strike. I guess 151 was a fluke. -- Oct 11, 2024 -- Paldea Evolved, Paradox Rift, and Twilight Masquerade. Appears that different fulfillment centers have different pack selection for these “3 Boosters + 1 Foil” clamshell blister packs. Still coming with extra Trick-Or-Trade packs on top of the stated three packs. Regarding the holos, while there was occasionally something good (got a Radiant Greninja once), for most part the holos were Morpeko (promo), Applin (Rebel Clash), and Snorlax (Vivid Voltage). -- Oct 21, 2024 -- Scarlet and Violet era packs only; mostly Paldea Evolved. Could have been worse, but not really that great of a value just for S&V main-series packs. -- Nov 14, 2024 -- Mostly a mix of Paldea Evolved through Temporal Forces, but no 151 packs. Not really worth it this time around. The only thing that kept the value somewhat reasonable was the occasional Chilling Reign, Fusion Strike, or Paldean Fates. But generally, not much that couldn't be easily obtained elsewhere at equivalent or cheaper cost. Interesting that Brilliant Stars through Crown Zenith appears to have been skipped, at least for now. ... show more
