I HATE digging through pots and pans tossed in a cupboard. Even if you're diligent about stacking them as well as you can, they take up a lot of space and are a pain. Add to that the inevitable search for lids that match the pan and it's just one more barrier to cooking for me. This makes it a no-brainer to keep the lid on the pan and stack it. It looks better and makes cooking just a little less stressful. If you're like me and you only need the tiniest excuse to get food delivered, this makes one less thing to worry about.
