This was a 3rd birthday gift and it is a favorite! It might seem pricy for only 5 doctor tools but it is really all young kids need to play doctor. The stethoscope is comfortable to wear and the doctor bag is adorable. The only consideration is that there is a squeaker in the blood pressure cuff. I love the idea of wood products for kids and that's why I went with this make-up set without hesitation. I'm so tired of plastic. We got this for our daughters second birthday (I know it's 3+...) because she is obsessed with my make-up and I was hoping that this might give her her own "make-up" to play with while I'm doing mine so I'm not constantly worrying about whatever she is trying to open or brush on her face. The wooden pieces of this set are really cute. I love the lipstick, and the compact that opens and closes (and it's surprisingly tight, even kind of gives a "click"). Basically anything that can be opened or interacted with in some way is a win with my toddler. The flat pieces like the eyeshadow and mirror are kind of just "eh" for her and I see why. Half the fun is just playing with the trinkets at this age. We've had the set for a couple months now and I'm happy with the quality so far. What I don't like about this set is the bag that it comes with. I think they are going for a real make-up artist kind of fanny pack? It's weird that it has a strap to go around the waist, at least in my opinion. And it doesn't close in any way - no zipper or button or anything. There are a couple little pockets that you can put things in, but then there is just a fabric flap that just kind of flops over the top and doesn't hold anything in at all, and the bag itself is super floppy as it is. Maybe I'm biased because my toddler likes to zip and unzip my bag, so to me the bag should be half the fun. It really dampens how I feel about the set as a whole. Not to mention when I try to put the set away with my daughters toys if the toy box gets jostled at all everything falls out of the bag and ends up everywhere. It would be nice if it had some way to close better to contain everything both for the child's enjoyment and the parents convenience. Also, I wish the set came with a few brushes instead of just the one...but that's not a deal breaker. If they changed the bag I would be super happy with the set, but as of now I'm thinking about getting another bag and using that instead because the bag it comes with bugs me so much. ... show more

I feel like the bag should’ve had some kind of closure. For little imaginations, they’re thinking a purse, not a waist belt. Also, the caps do not stay on well.
