    • Amp is nice after no bass for 13 years!
A coworker installed this amp in my 05 4 runner on 3/26/15-it is bridged at 4 ohm on a rockford fosgate pl3-210 enclosure. I had nothing but smiles on my face on the drive home yesterday! I cranked it up on the 52 freeway and got into some distortion, adjusted bass levels today after doing some research. The bass boost was just under half, i turned it all the way down but increased the input sensitivity a little bit, it sounds much better with more controlled low frequency( it sounded cleaner and i could really crank it up) The amp came with a bass remote but seemed to lack control. I had a pac brand remote i had on hand, we switched btween the supplied unit and the pac, we found the pac was much more resposive, the stock one is not being used. Overall i love having bass after not having it for 13 years. I will do more tuning and will keep this updated, im very happy with this purchase! ... show more

    • Very nice for the price
I purchased this to power 4 Infinity Reference speakers after completely replacing the system in my Pontiac G6. It came with the required wiring hardware (spade connectors, mounting screws, etc.) Its SNR is significantly lower than my that of my JVC head-unit. There is no noticeable static or humming with the system at low volume, where there was with the stock "premium" Monsoon system. This amp has two gain controls (two channels on each) and high and low pass filters. Since it is so powerful (1300 watts RMS), I do not need to have the gain set very high to get a lot of volume. This amp fits neatly under my rear window deck between the rear speakers and does not interfere with loading or unloading of the trunk.     • This amplifier is amazing
For the price you can't beat it. Product was untouched, new. I feed it from a work trucks 3 12 volt batteries, so no voltage issues here. Pure copper 8 gage wire on a 100 amp circuit breaker. On one half I'm running Dayton pro audio 6.5 mids, and vifa tweeters. Both have spl of almost 93 db spl. Loud and clear. The bridged sub side I'm still refining. But it looks like I'll be running a 10 inch sub. I went easy on the ohm load. 4 ohms all around instead of 2. It runs very warm at the end of a loud 8 hour work day, good. Many tweaking features for sure. Could this product improve in any way? Only one thing I can ask is ; it has bass boost @ 45 Hz. So please add treble Boost @ about 15k or so, then we won't be looking for a add on equalizer. Btw, I run the stock deck high level outputs into a line level rca converter. This amp works well.     • Really throws the sound on my boat
I have this amp installed on my Supra wakeboard boat. Not pushing any subs Because they aren't worth their weight in salt on an open boat. I have four 6.5" speakers mounted in the gunwales, two 6.5" in the bow, and two 6.5" polk tower speakers up on the wakeboard tower. I was able to completely eliminate the head unit. I just plug in my phone via a homemade headphone amp and this setup really throws sound. Its extremely balanced sound and it can be heard clear as day, even hundreds of feet away from the boat. Even with the constant humid wet environment of the boat, this thing has performed flawlessly. ... show more

    • Must have gotten a bad one
Never been able to get this amp to work properly. I installed three new amps in my boat and this one has never worked to it's potential. It sounds good for a minute and then it overheats and starts to shit down. I've always had a system in my boat and wanted to upgrade and maybe this amp is just a bad one or maybe just not good at all the other two are doing thier job. One pushing two 12" subs and the other pushing four 8" tower speakers. This one was just supposed to the six inboard 6×9's. ... show more

    • Great amp at an amazing price!
I purchased this amplifier a couple months ago from Amazon, I was unsure due to the price and the varying reviews about Planet Audio as a whole, but I must say this amp performs great! If anyone is wondering as I was, it is fused at 2 x 25 amp fuses, I've got the gain all the way down so I have not attempted to get max output from this amp but it definitely performs well. I'm very happy with my purchase and would definitely buy Planet Audio again! ... show more

Didnt work but i was only wanting to use 2 channels at the moment. If all 4 channels need to b hooked up for it to work it should say clearly, but should have worked with just two channels but sometimes manufacturers make different products , nice lookn amp and seemed well built otherwise though, bought through amazon and had no trouble returning it ... show more

    • worked well for a few weeks
Amp worked great for a couple of weeks paired with 4 6x9 hifonics zues series. Channel four goes in and out when it wants to and its very annoying. i have tried changing the speaker, rewired completely from amp to the door. took the head unit out to ensure all wire connections were good and had no issues. changed which speaker is connected to the fourth channel and still it always cuts off and on. Might try this brand again in the future but i will more than likely be going with a different brand to solve this issue. ... show more
