Same as everyone's reviews. Tabs broke on one side then it warped upwards. I still have it but it looks bad and have to hold it down everytime I close the tailgate to clear the tonneau.

Was extremely disappointed in this product. Was not happy with fitment. I asked for a refund and was then asked for more info regarding the fitment. The returns process with Amazon and its sellers has always been extremely easy no questions asked not the case here. I once again put the piece back on the truck in order to send proof of fitment. The tabs on this are incredibly flimsy and some broke during removal. I have now had the OEM piece off 3 different times with no broken tabs. In the end was only refunded a portion of the original cost. Found an new OEM piece for the same money perfect fit. Don’t waste your time with this product ... show more

I recently replaced the tailgate on my F150 2006 pickup. I was able to buy a new metal shell at a good price off another site -- came primered in black and so all I had to do was paint and topcoat it, which I did with spray cans, and then transfer or replace the hardware and emblems. Turns out, the old tailgate had already had substantial bodywork and the long plastic cap had been off and on a few times. In fact, it was pretty loose. I pried it off with a long screwdriver and found a lot of the underside built-in bodywork clips were so broken or badly bent, they wouldn't fit any more. I ordered this to replace it -- the description says it's an exact match for my truck. It went on easily -- all new clips underneath which were part of the molding process. I used a rubber mallet to tap it into place, starting in the middle, and only then did I realize the fitment problem. Sadly, the cap is 1/2-inch short on each end. By the time I discovered that, I realized that if I wanted to return it, I'd probably break a lot of clips getting it off. It doesn't look too bad on, and apart from being short, it's a good tight fit. How did they get the measurements so far off?? The product description says it's an exact match for my vehicle. The plastic they used is thinner than the OEM cap, but it is textured and looks right. Overall, it's does the job and looks good, but getting the length off by an inch is just wrong.
