I used these for a Cub Scout treasure hunt as a means to practice compass skills. There are copper, silver, and gold coins. So I divided into 3 groups for the 3 coin types. The younger kids had copper and so on. First group to find all 12 coins won. I liked it, and the kids liked the mementos.

I purchased the 102 piece mixed coins to go GeoCashing with my family. We could use just any random piece of junk but this is a way of not only having fun but doing it with class. At 30¢ per coin its cheap and a way of rewarding each "hidden urban treasure box" with a fun reward for others.... I use gold for the hard to find cashes, silver for moderate difficulty, and bronze for the super easy ones. And if the GeoCash box gets moisture inside these coins wont be damaged. When I recived the coins I was shorted some and I contacted the seller right away and they corrected it with no trouble. They responded within the hour of me emailing them. Coins are solid and well crafted to look real. They have decent weight and sound real. and I love the bag it comes in. As I said, they are great for GeoCashing. But they are also great for cosplayers, pirate b-day parties, board and card games, and whatever else you can think of. You wont be disapointed. ... show more

Ordered 2 of these sets so I could fill my medium sized treasure chest with enough gold pieces and it filled them perfectly, about 1/3 the size of the chest. The pieces are metallic and have a decent weight to them making them look and feel authentic. I would buy from this seller again for sure.

I bought for a swashbuckler outfit I did and was reluctant to actually pass them out because they are SO nice. They're made of a sturdy metal and are good sized.
