But the whole contraption does not fit on the dash, and the cutout for the rear view mirror is not deep enough. So it's kinda stretched over it, and the sun visors hold it in place for the most part. After several months of use this is still in great hands. There is a minor issue but that does not affect the coverage. There is a ring by the handle that is cheaply made and will come off however you could put something like plastic glue to hold it together but like I said it does not cause any issues with the umbrella part. Manufacturing could try to secure it better honestly other than that gets a 5-star rating because it keeps my vehicle cooler and that is worth it. ... show more

I have a camero and maybe that's why it doesn't work well. Doesn't really fit the window and when I tried to stabilize the base of the unberlla it rubbed my dash. Not too happy with this one.

Learning how best to open this and get it in place took a few trials, but now I can do it very quickly and it really helps to keep car temperature lower when parked in the sun on a hot day. When coupled with cracking all 4 side windows no more than an inch the difference in temperature when you return to the vehicle is even more dramatic! ... show more
