  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Love Phone Loops
Color: Doggy
I’ve been purchasing from Phone Loops for some time now, and continue to love Phone Loops and purchasing them for almost every phone case that I purchase; so nothing made me happier than when they started selling on Amazon and offering Prime shipping. That meant being able to purchase a case locally, and having a Phone Loop for it within a day or two. Sometimes I’ll purchase cases from manufacturers that take a couple of weeks to ship; which in that case I would order directly from Phone Loops since they sell the Loops for less on their site, have more options, and will usually offer bundling discounts and free shipping when buying a few (just keep in mind that they ship from Canada and can take up to two weeks to arrive - so that’s where it’s worth paying a bit more for Prime). Anyways, as someone who takes a lot of pictures with my phone and who usually has a dog with me, these Loops have been true life savers (phone savers, really). Before Phone Loops I would end up dropping my smartphones and shattering the screens (or phone, if it was made of glass), so I heavily depended on either the warranty on the device for a repair/replacement and/or on having a big ugly and bulky phone case. There’s also all the times when I’ve been close to dropping my phone into water or off a cliff - no longer the case. With a loop on my phone case I’ve taken my phone on every hiking trip, jumped off planes (skydiving), taken it on rock climbing adventures, white water rafting, and other adventures without having to worry about dropping my phone. For those claiming that Pop Sockets are better, not going to argue with you, Pop Sockets are awesome and have saved me multiple times; but, I just find that with a Phone Loop I have a tighter hold on the phone. With a Pop Socket, I have dropped phones because of my dog pulling me; never with a Phone Loop. In fact, I have a Pop Wallet on one my cases (pictured), and that case also has a Phone Loop on it. With all that said, Phone Loops are not perfect, they have to be replaced every few months. I have never had one snap or lose the adhesive; but, like any fabric, they age and start looking old and dirty (you can see some aging on the pictures I posted). On a really thin case, or a case designed to tightly hold the phone, it may make it harder to get the phone into the case; but even with something as minimal as the carbon fiber LaterCase, I can still use a Phone Loop and snap the phone safely into the case - it’s just a matter of making sure that the Phone Loop does not overlap (the LaterCase is the center case in the images). Another con, is using it with clear cases, where the adhesive part can look a bit unattractive (as seen on the pictured cobalt case). There’s also the argument or making this at home and saving a lot of money, and that’s a legitimate point - you are paying for nothing more than a piece of ribbon with adhesive on it. Personally, as someone who just doesn’t have ribbon or adhesive sitting at home, and as someone not interested in buying more ribbon and adhesive than I need, I’m fine paying Phone Loops. As previously mentioned, I have never had their product snap, rip, or lose stickiness on me; so I trust whatever materials they are using over something I could use at home. Finally, they have some pretty cool designs, and if you visit they’re site they tend to introduce special designs throughout the year (not all make it on Amazon, unfortunately). I also just realized how much I’ve typed over a piece of sticky ribbon :-) ...so in short, highly recommend it, it’s a must if you do anything adventures (including dog walking), and it will save your phone!! ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Works as expected, but not my favorite
Color: Midnight
First off, I may have missed it in the descriptions, but I expected this to have some elasticity to it. It didn't. I have an iPhone 14 Pro. Installation issues: - You have to run the loop through the camera hole and one of the speaker holes. On some cases, the speaker hole on the right will be longer than the one on the left to match the holes on the phone. If so, the loop is too big to run through the smaller hole so you will have to run it through the hole on the right. This might make a difference if you are right or left-handed and where you want the loop in position with your hand. - Once you have one side stuck on and it looped though, the directions say something to the extent to put your hand through the loop like you would hold your phone, pull the loop tight, then stick the other side down. So that's what I did! However, the issue with this is once you stick your phone in the case it pushes down on the loop A LOT causing more tension in the loop. Luckily, I had a MagSafe wallet attached when I attached the loop so I was able to remove the wallet when I wanted to use the loop. I love that this is super flat and doesn't get in the way of using any MagSafe accessories. However, since it loops through one of the speaker holes, my case wouldn't fit properly around my phone in that area. After a week or so I also noticed it stretching around the areas it was coming out of the case. This may have to do with it being so tight and me trying to use it with the wallet attached. After a couple of days, I ended up taking it off. It didn't leave any residue on the inside of my case. It may work better with other cases or other phone models. Great potential! Just needs more tweaks to be perfect! ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect; good for the price
Color: Coffee
The adhesion is REALLY sturdy, and bc of that (with the Apple iPhone cases especially & their almost suede fabric on the inside) you cannot move it & re-place it more than 1-2x before it loses that adhesive. So plan carefully where you want to put it so that it doesn’t cover the speakers or the charge input. I wasn’t as careful with mine and placed the bottom in the center, like an idiot. 😂 when I put the case back on the phone I realized it covered the charge area & I had no choice but to try & move it. I didn’t get it very far but at least it doesn’t block the charge now. It did go all the way across the vertical height of my iPhone 12 Pro Max case, but I didn’t love the diagonal look (going kind of sideways from the left of the charge port to the top) so I looped it through the camera hole instead which also gave the ribbon more give & allows me to put 4 fingers through it. The ribbon is NOT really stretchy, at all. It’s like a thick hair ribbon or craft ribbon. So make sure you figure out how much space/room you will tend to want in the opening before you stick it down. I also wouldn’t suggest getting too close to the corners as it doesn’t bend well enough and the phone pops out of the case just a little, periodically, even where mine is (over the bottom left speaker to the left of the charge port). *Shown in the photos* The good news here is that the phone doesn’t pop all the way out of the case bc of this, but that corner protects the phone a couple millimeters less than the other corners where the ribbon isn’t near them. One downside I hadn’t considered is that with it installed vertically, turning my phone & using it sideways/horizontally is more awkward than holding it vertically in some instances. So it took some getting used to. Overall I actually really like it, aside from me not choosing a spot on the bottom more carefully when I stuck it down to the inside of the case. I’ve had it about a week now. The two things I always disliked about the Popsockets is that the phone didn’t lay flat on a table & it can with this, and 2) the Popsocket couldn’t hold the weight of the Plus or Max sized iPhones in the “stand” position, and my fingers would cramp up using the popsocket grip for too long. The ribbon is more comfortable, and it goes in my pocket or purse easier, but there’s still no stand option. Some give & take, but ultimately this is probably exactly what you expect it to be. It feels pretty sturdy after installed properly too. Not a bad option! I’m happy with it, but realize maybe not everyone will like its extreme simplicity. ... show more
