It works, its a headlight. As far as the claims on the box, like most things, they're basically all just flashy text to get you to buy. Its not brighter than stock headlights (my car is from 2006 also.. lol) and they are not whiter than other halogen bulbs. Are they good headlights? yeah. Just about as good as any other. If you want to namedrop philips when you talk about your car go ahead and buy them. If not, go for something cheaper. ... show more

I swapped out my old stock lowbeams for the GT200's and they are everything advertized and more! Easily 200% brighter! The color is also amazing. Far whiter than the old yellow/amber of my stock lights. Buying another set to replace my highbeams as I type this!

Although the pictures shows a white headlights, & 200% brighter, my lights are still yellow and it's just as bright as the original 9years old headlights. After I installed the last bulb & closing everything back up into my Mercedes S class, the wife came out and said to let her know when I install the new bulbs so she can see the difference in brightness. I do notice that they're a little less yellow compared to the older one, but they are no way near white as the pictures on the box. ... show more

Like with most Amazon review sections, there is abundant ignorance and misinformation. While I am not an expert in car headlights, I'd like to inform potential buyers that the relationship between brightness (in lumens) and brightness (perceived) is a logarithmic function. That is to say a huge increase in lumens will only yield a small increase in perceived brightness. Armed with this knowledge, I can infer that yes, +200% "brightness" sounds about right. THE TAKEAWAY: These headlights are a nice step up from your average halogen. Not at all the brightest car illumination product, but still possesses ample capability. Considering this product is ~$15 more than the baseline I would strongly recommend it to anyone who might appreciate some nighttime illumination for a really fair price. The bulbs are indeed a cooler shade of white but not nearly as much as an LED. Remember LEDs are best for reflective housing whilst halogens remain superior for projector-style housings. I would describe these bulbs as ~ +20% perceived brightness, although this figure is mostly irrelevant as other buyers' setups will vary. EXCELLENT FOR THOSE WITH PROJECTOR STYLE HOUSING WHO DON'T WANT TO FORK OVER $100-$300 FOR HIDs ... show more

Definitely brighter and shines further! What a difference! Some people even flash me thinking I have highbeams up(yes, I did adjust them properly to make sure)! Color wise, it’s not any whiter but I expected that. we’ll just have to see how long before they go bad. I expect these to last maybe 3-6 months judging by the heat they emit, hopefully they don’t melt my headlight reflectors. Edit: got these babies january 2022, it’s now December and they’re still going! Will purchase another just in case! Really happy with them! ... show more

This product was exactly as advertised and is so much brighter than the stock lamps and other aftermarket lamps. This product is used on a 2011 Mazda CX7 & there is an issue with the headlights when on dim which this bulb is used for. In fact, I could not drive safely at night with the headlights on dim due to the very poor illumination of the roadway. These bulbs have resolved that issue as they are much, much brighter, and I have tried 2 different quality bulbs before trying this bulb and there was no noticeable difference. These bulbs definitely make a difference, making driving at night as different as night and day on the low beam. ... show more

This Philips RacingVision GT200 H7 is a direct replacement bulb for many late model domestic and imported vehicles. Mine is a 10 years old Sonata and the original headlight bulbs were loosing brightness and it’s time to be retired. These bulbs put new life to the headlights and they look remarkably brighter and whiter at night. There is no change to the light pattern since they are housed in the original headlight assembly. I have had around 5 hours of night time driving on them and am very happy about their light output and light color. Price was a little more than regular replacement bulbs but the extra cost was well worth the result. ... show more
