  • Glorious piece of technology. Yes, you need this monitor.
Size: 34" WQHD Style: Curved | USB-C
I was initially concerned about buying a Philips monitor because I assumed the quality would not be on par with other well-known brands. The reasonable price, 4 year warranty, and good reviews are what led me to settle on this monitor. PANEL The screen itself is bright. I tend to keep the brightness level around 85-90. 1. Text looks clear both in the middle and the sides 2. Contrast is good 3. Images look great 4. Colors are quite accurate - I have not made any changes to customize the colors of the panel. Out of the box the colors looked good to me. I am not planning on using this monitor for editing photos. I have another monitor that is more geared towards creative work. AESTHETICS The whole monitor looks great. Even the back has sort of a brushed look. I love it! CURVE I really enjoy the curve. I have heard some people say that the curve takes time to get used to, but getting used to it seemed easy to me. I don't think I would want a monitor wider than this. The size is perfect. Thankfully the monitor I received was in perfect condition. No dead pixels. Philips dead pixel policy is not clear at all. I hope that this will never be an issue. The 4 year warranty seems pretty awesome. Seems like Philips will stand behind their product. GAMES I have not yet tested any serious games on this monitor, but I will soon and post an update here. I did play some Roblox and the game filled the whole screen. Any content that fills the whole screen is really awesome. USB-C My work laptop is a Lenovo ThinkPad. The USB-C port on the laptop where I plug the power adapter did nothing when I connected the monitor using the supplied USB-C cable. This is probably a misunderstanding on my part. There is a secondary USB-C port on the laptop that has an energy bolt next to it. When I plugged the monitor into that USB-C port, the laptop displayed on the monitor in 1440p, and the laptop was receiving a charge from the monitor. Pretty amazing. STAND The stand is very sturdy. The screen can tilt up & down, twist left and right, and can raise up & down. Very happy with this. SPEAKERS The speakers are great if you consider they are built-in speakers, not dedicated reference monitors. It's a very welcomed addition, and they do the job. PURPOSE People may settle on this monitor for different reasons. For me the biggest reason was work. Having this monitor for work is a total dream. I am an IT engineer, so being able to have Visual Studio Code, PowerShell, Outlook, and the Azure portal all open at the same time (I have a 2nd monitor) really helps with productivity. A creative professional may want to avoid the curve and go for a panel with even higher color accuracy. A gamer might want more than 100hz to keep gameplay as smooth as possible. If you are looking for more screen real estate and you want to be more productive, then this monitor is for you. Side note: Amazon's characteristics for this item don't make any sense. They asked me to give a rating for the "sheerness" and "thickness" of the monitor. ... show more

  • Finally, a perfect monitor to work with my job's computer
Size: 34" WQHD Style: Curved | USB-C | Webcam
I am not a big reviewer. I read them more than I post, however I want to give a shout out for this monitor. I purchased it back in July and it has be 100% perfect. It works great with MacBooks and Windows PCs too. I have used it with a Lenovo, Dell, and Leagon (Lenovo) gaming PC too. All worked fine. Windows Hello camera works, but is not as nice is like a MacBook camera, but it is better than most. Mic works well for me too, and the built in audio is not too bad also. Over all is it a very good monitor and the price and 4 year warranty is a really nice bonus. Contrast, colors, refresh rate, and detail are all A+. The monitor goes to sleep when it should, and only a very very small LED light blinks softly in the lower right corner. if you use this monitor in a bedroom, you will be able to sleep because the light is not intrusive. Again, a great and perfect monitor for the work at home people. You have my okay to buy it now. ... show more

  • super 4k + tons of connections for low price
Size: 27" IPS Black 4K UHD Style: USB-C | KVM | Daisy Chain
Very clear, sharp 4k monitors at low price point. I do not play games so I don't care about refresh rate or RGB space, I am a programmer and these are great for long hours. I work from home and have a Mac for work and PC for home. This means I switch inputs on both monitors every day. My biggest concern was this would be tedious, having to dig deep into menus and sub-menus. Fortunately not, and the menus are controlled by a mini joystick on the back which is very easy to access. 3 taps and input is switched. The hub connections work great. Ethernet, USB, USB-C plugged into the monitors all work seamlessly on the connected computer, saving ports and adding functionality (to clarify: this monitor does not have Ethernet port built in, but an inexpensive 2.5g Ethernet-to-USB adapter works perfectly). Plus they keep the computer charged so no need for separate power plug. Daisy chaining does work on PC - it does not work with Mac (must connect directly to both monitors) but this is true of Macs and all non-Thunderbolt monitors. Very happy with this purchase, especially at half the price of similar monitors from other manufacturers. ... show more

  • Good for coding, with a caveat...
Size: 32" 4K UHD Style: Curved
The media could not be loaded. I've been using this for a few weeks, comparing it to a Samsung 32inch flat monitor: The SAMSUNG 32-Inch ViewFinity S7 (S70D) Series 4K UHD High Resolution Monitor with HDR10 These are ~$300 3840x2160 monitors that I want to level up my coding experience. Just wasn't sure about flat vs curved. In terms of flat vs curved for coding, I think I've liked the curved. it's slightly easier to "consume" as you look left/right for various windows while coding. I don't need a perfectly straight horizontal line like designers or architects might. I don't expect much for this price. Just good, readable text and reasonable color, images, video playback etc. I'm using DP from my 2023 MacBook with a usb-c to DP wire. It runs fine at top resolution and 60hz. I don't need cameras, KVM, direct USB-C, gaming speed, audio, usb hub, powed ports etc. For those, I spend the savings on good separates that will live on after changing monitors. I have a high end audio setup, USB hub, camera etc. So both monitors do what I want. But I will say the Samsung feels cheaper compared to the Philips. One thing I really like about the Philips is the plugs in back go in straight/perpendicular instead of upward/underneath. This is actually a pleasure when setting up because it's always a pain in the ass to bend over, get on your knees etc when trying to fit a cable into a port you can't see. Here's the caveat I mentioned. Check the video. When scrolling around on the screen, if you get something "just right" in terms of windo position, color or whatever, the Philips will show a pattern of veritcal lines across it and sometime even flicker. It goes away if I keep scrolling a tiny bit whatever I'm looking at. And it happens rarely. But I'm on the fence about returning it. ... show more
