Description

The Men's Marine Shorty from Phantom Aquatics is an exceptionally comfortable and warm suit that is cut specifically for ladies. The 2.5mm thick neoprene is stretchy to give freedom of movement and flat lock seams help improve comfort. A high friction seat on the rear helps to reduce slipping whilst seated on wet surfaces whilst reinforced shoulders add extra abrasion protection, The suit has a Neck Tab Closure with Micro-Teeth Velcro Fastener for a Comfortable Neck Closure and Reduced Water Flushing.

Fantastic value, and great styling. Perfect for warm water dives and snorkeling. I did six dives around Maui in 80 degree water (colder at deeper depths, of course) and this suit was perfect to keep the water temp from being an issue, while at the same time allowing the water to feel refreshingly cool. My prior shorty was a 3mm, and on a hot day it was miserable while I waited my turn to enter the water from the dive boat. Even though the outside temp was 90 degrees with 70% humidity during these dives, I was comfortable waiting my turn. I can only attribute that to the fact that this suit is only 2.5mm. This also made the suit perfect for snorkeling. Even in the warm surface waters, with the sun beating down on me, I was nice and cool. My friend, who gave me grief for wearing a wetsuit to snorkel, paid the price with a nasty sunburn on his back. The flip side of that coin is that this suit does not provide much insulation, so really -- warm water dives only! Thanks to all for posting your weight and height here, because that proved to be the best sizing guide for me. By the time I ordered this wetsuit, it was going to arrive just two days before I was leaving for Hawaii, so no time to swap for a different size. Based on what I read in the reviews, I opted for an XXL, and it was a perfect fit. I'll add my stats to assist others. I'm 6-2 and 215 pounds. The XXL was snug but not the least bit restrictive. It had great fit, suitable thickness, stayed water tight the entire 90 mins, I could dive and do flip turns without it filling with water, minimal stroke resistance in the shoulders, and was very buoyant. 6'2 1/2" 240 lbs. Ordered a 3XL. Seems like a great product. I was able to get into it with a little effort, but unfortunately, it did not fit in the chest or shoulders. I typically wear a 46-48 long sport coat, and this was just a couple inches too small. The overall length was good, however, and the neck was snug and comfortable. I purchased this used so the previous purchaser probably couldn’t get into it and I see why. I could not for the life of me get the zipper up past half way on my own but once my wife assisted me, it fit perfectly. I’m hoping it stretches over time so I don’t have to ask my dive buddy for help. Purchased for pool exercises and warm water so I’m not roasting in my 7mm Neosport. I’m 6’1” and 215 lbs and I have zero issues getting into my XXL full suit so I’m not sure why there’s an issue with this one. I’m otherwise very happy with the quality and price and will purchase again if my pool time eventually ruins it. ... show more

I have been wearing an EVO brand shorty wetsuit sized M last 6 years, it was lost at sea. I selected one of these to replace it with. Reviews say they run small so I ordered a large. I am 5’9”, 210 lbs, 34” waist, 44” chest. The L size fit in the legs, arms and overall size, but chest was so tight I could not zip it even with someone else helping. I returned it and ordered an XL, same problem! I really like the looks and quality of this wetsuit, it seems very well constructed. So I ordered a XXL. It was loose in the legs, loose in the arms and overall seemed too big, but I still could not zip it up, way too tight in the chest. Looks sharp, feels great. I bought this because I teach swimming lessons at an outdoor facility in Southern California and I wanted the UV protection so I wouldn’t need to bathe in sunscreen all day everyday. Now I have a magnificent farmers’ tan. Joking aside, this is a sharp looking wetsuit that fit me well (I’m 5’9”, 150 lbs) and looks great. The only issue I ran into was that the chlorine ate the suit away after about 2.5 months of daily use. This was largely my own fault because there were days where I’d get home and be lazy about rinsing the suit out in the tub, and I’d leave it sitting overnight with the pool chemicals still clinging to it. So if you’re using this in the pool, just make sure to diligently rinse it as soon as you’re done, and that will greatly prolong its lifespan. Other than that, if you’re hitting the beach, riding the surf, or just going for a dip, you can’t go wrong with the Phantom shorty. It looks great, will give you excellent protection from the sun, feels comfortable, and is sensibly priced. I will probably buy another one and save it for beach use only. If you’re looking for a suit to wear in the pool, go with the cheapest option you can find because *chlorine ruins everything.* Enthusiastic recommendation. ... show more

I read the reviews and ordered a size up. Wasn’t even close. This seems like a quality wetsuit, even better than some of my expensive ones. I really wanted to keep this, but it’s way too small to fit over my shoulders. They really need to list the actual measurements.
