Color: Black
I just put my build in here from my Fractal R6 i find the rgb to be tasteful. The case is easy to build in and with plenty of room i have my Corsair rad in push pull at the front and have 3 exhausting fans two at the top on in the rear and its running very cool according to Ryzen master and Msi Afterburner. The materials used in the case are top notch and i like that you can fasten the swinging doors if you ever need to move the case further then inside of your own house, the case is silent just like the R6 was which is nice. Cable management was a breeze, the included 3.5 inch hard drive sleds are sturdy and well had and cleanly clip to each other, airflow is much better then the previous version of this Phanteks case as well i had to take the front panel off and use washer to put more length on the front panel to allow airflow on this i do not. I know for some this case is up there in price but after working with it the only complaint i might have is the doors for cable management are kinda a pain to un-clip and the ssd mounts are cool in concept but odd in placement cause the cables get rather bent when shutting it all. You would be hard pressed to find a case in this price range with better materials and quality and style, take note that this case is taller then the previous one and that the sliders are weird at first but do a good job where the cables come thru to the mobo. ... show more

  • My Dream Case - With One Major Flaw Unrelated To The Actual Case
Color: Gray
First off, I've wanted this case for literally years. It's my "endgame" case. And after lusting after this thing for years, I was finally able to set aside enough $$ for it and purchased it on Valentine's Day this year. Shipped by Amazon, but sold through "Autocare Depot" which is apparently a subsidiary of Newegg. Case arrived a few days ago and was generally unscathed - Phanteks packs this baby well, with two giant foam spacers on either side of the case, which is wrapped in a sturdy cloth bag. Inside the Accessory Kit, however, I discovered that two of the included 4 HDD brackets were extremely bent and thus unusable. Contacted Phanteks and they took ample care of me, two replacement HDD brackets are on their way to me as I type this. The customer service rep also informed me, however, that because Autocare Depot is an unregistered seller of Phanteks gear, Phanteks would be unable to offer me any further warranty claims support in regards to the case I just paid $250 for! I am a bit cheesed, but not with the case. Not at all. It's amazingly well-built, has loads of space and great cable management, and is pretty much everything I knew it would be. But save yourself the headache and just buy it from Phanteks themselves. That way you don't have to worry about a lack of warranty support on a case you spent good money for. TLDR: Amazing case. Had a hiccup with two of the HDD brackets, which Phanteks was quick to replace. The seller, Autocare Depot, isn't supposed to be selling Phanteks gear because they're unregistered, so Phanteks won't honor any warranty claims you may have if you buy from them. Just buy from Phanteks instead. ... show more

  • This is an awesome ATX tower case!
I viewed dozens of online case reviews and the Evolv X caught my attention. The last three computer builds have been built inside Antec cases, but Antec's current line-up doesn't meet my requirements. Like the higher-end Antec cases I've used in the past, this Evolv X is not inexpensive, but it is build solid and tempered glass doors on either side are just beautiful. Speaking of glass doors, I couldn't help but notice the number of reviewers who've received their cases either in used condition or broken (or both). While I was concerned, I bought this through Amazon and knew that they very proactive about problems. My case arrived still factory sealed, and on opening the box, everything inside was perfect. In fact, the factory packaging is rugged enough that you'd have to really work at damaging the case inside. When building the system, the first things I noticed are the small details that Phanteks provides to make the computer build easier. The compartmented case holding screws and hardware is a good example, but if you look at some of the video reviews of this case on YouTube, you'll see just how well-engineered this case is for builders and users. Cable management is a snap, the glass doors are easily removed and reinstalled, the front panel snaps off to reveal the magnetically-held intake dust filter, and the list goes on. The one consideration is the PSU. This mounts in the covered 'basement' of the case and there is filtered fan exit underneath. The PSU I selected had the fan mounted on top, which is blocked by the case's basement shield. The PSU works fine turned up-side-down, but the OLED display on the PSU is no longer visible. As you can see in the photos, the case is as well-engineered as it looks iin the photos. Cable management is easy. Phanteks provides three 140mm fans: two in the front, one in the rear. I added two additional 140mm fans in the top to ensure good airflow. The system: ASUS ROG Maximus XI Extreme motherboard Intel I9-9900K CPU Noctua PC-U12A CPU cooler 64GB RAM ASUS Thor 1200 PSU ASUS RTX 2060 GPU (mounted vertically using Phanteks' optional case mount) 2 x 2TB NVME m.2 drives on motherboard slots 2 x 2TB NVME in two PCIe adapters (using the DIMM.2 slot on the motherboard would have reduced the channels supporting the GPU) configured into RAID 1 4 x 1 TB SSD in RAID 10 The airflow in the case, coupled with the Noctua CPU air cooler, is more than sufficient to overclock the I9 chip. I've sustained 5 GHz using the stress testing tools and the CPU temperatures never reached 70 degrees Centigrade. While I do not have time to game, this set-up is designed for video and photo processing and I can now render shorter video clips in Premiere Pro in less than 10 seconds where more than a minute was required with my previous system. While I have replaced each of my Antec cases with each new build, I think I'll be reusing this case well into the future unless Phanteks (or someone else) designs something even better! ... show more
