Features

  • BEFORE USE: Put the included potassium chloride powder into 20ml of pure water and mix well. Then put the probe into the solution for 24 hours, take it out and clean the residual solution on the surface of the sensitive bulb. Now, you can start to calibrate. (Note: If the sponge is wet enough, please skip this step.)
  • DURING USE: If there is inaccurate calibration, repeat the step of 'Before Use'. If using your own potassium chloride powder, prepare the solution by adding 61.5g of KCL into 250ml of water. Then, put the probe into the solution for 24 hours, take it out and clean the residual solution on the surface of the sensitive bulb. Now, you can start to calibrate.
  • AFTER USE: To ensure the activity of the sensitive bulb, add a drop of newly prepared potassium chloride solution into the sponge inside the probe cover. Also, to better maintain the activity of the sensitive bulb, add the solution to the sponge every two months.
  • NotificationCalibrate once per week if you often test solution of PH <4 or >10, or once per half month for neutral solutions. The 250ml calibration solution for multiple uses (10ml or so each time). Then rinse the electrode with pure water before next test. Rinse and rest 3-5 min before conversing from strong acid to strong alkaline and vice versa.
  • Automatic Calibration We make your job faster and easier than ever with this convenient PH tester! With the 3-point calibration procedures, your PH testing device will automatically identify the calibration solutions to give you your reading in a snap.
  • Automatic Temperature Compensation Temperature can affect reading levels, our PH meter's automatic temperature compensation can ensure that you're getting the best possible reading. Unlike other PH metersthat only have a range of 0-50 degree, ours has a even better range of 0-70 degree, so you can test with confidence in any environment.
  • Clear Digital Display with Alerts Tired of squinting at a small screen to get your readings? Enjoy this PH meter's large, backlit LCD screen that displays the information in an intuitive layout so you can still see even in low visibility situations. When the PH value is lower than 3.5 or higher than 12.5, the white digital display will change to red and flash to alert you.
  • User Friendly You can easily replace the 2 AAA batteries when it's time, and you can also activate the 15-minute auto-off functionality to save battery. Plus, it even comes with a storage case to keep it safe and protected when you're on the go.

  • Broke after 2 1/3 months. I’m OCD and took very good care of it.
The media could not be loaded. I had this for 3 months and it has already broke. This is my second review. My first review commended this product for its price and accuracy and easy use. BUT, it broke. I am OCD and I never leave the batteries inside when I’m not using for prolonged periods. But now I purchased the 12 pack of calibration Ph solvent to fix the issue. But it will not calibrate. I never got it wet other than the directional line. I clean it with a dry rag and still, it broke. Hopefully I can delete this comment if the seller truly values his/her integrity; I’d be willing to buy again with a simple apology or exchange would be proper. Perfect machine now collecting dust. Please help. ... show more

  • Great pH Meter
I ordered this ph Meter because my Blue Lab ph Pen wasn't reading properly and I needed something quick and easy. A buddy recommend this to me. This thing ROCKS!!! Easy to calibrate and easy to read. If you need a pH pen GRAB THIS BABY. Stay away from those expensive pens (I had to get rid of the Blue Lab pen). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PH PEN!!!! ... show more

  • Pretty good
I bought this to measure the acidity of various beverages to identify what to avoid for my LPR. The meter requires calibration, but everything is included except the distilled water and the instructions are fairly easy to follow if you read them through a few times. My one area of disappointment is the battery setup. The batteries drop vertically into the end of the meter, but the "+" and "-" symbols by the holes do not specify whether those symbols are for the bottom end of the batteries or the top end. After much trial and error, and with multiple pairs of batteries, I figured out the symbols are for the TOP of the batteries (the ends that face you). The meter does not power on reliably, so you have to fiddle with it. But once it's on, it seems to work. The display is easy to read and the meter seems sturdy. I like the plastic cap for the tip and the nylon zip case for storage. ... show more

  • You Pay 4-5x as Much for the Same Quality
When it worked, it worked great. It’s a shame it’s impossible to calibrate. I bought this after I had two of the cheap $10 meters quit on me. I spent the extra money on this only to find it only worked for about as long as those $10 units. It’s funny how this and the others somehow always seem to quit working JUST outside the return window. This one sure seemed more durable to me, worked better, and I’m really bummed it turned out to be crap. What happened: It started randomly giving weird ph levels one day. I kept adjusting my water lower and lower yet this thing kept saying it was higher and higher, at like 9-10ph. Finally I used some dye to find the water was at like 3-4ph. At first I thought no problem, they sent me calibration packets. Got my distilled water and 3 beakers, followed instructions only for the unit to say error on the first calibration solution. Instructions say that means the solution is outside of proper range, but they don’t really tell you how to fix it because I guess you can’t. Like a rationale person I started over, used the second pack, Different jug of new distilled water, again same issue. So I went to my local grow shop, bought another cheap unit, came back and tested the test solution, sure enough it was spot on with what the pack said. So I’m not sure what exactly happened to the unit, bulb is still intact, but it’s now essentially an expensive piece of junk in my drawer. Do yourself a favor and just keep buying the cheapo ones. ... show more

  • Great meter for homebrewing
I'll start with a disclaimer that I do not use this meter for anything that requires super precision. I use this to measure the pH of water and wort. I bought a pH calibration kit with the three buffers required to calibrate. The meter comes with a pack of dry additive for distilled water, but I would rather have premade solution with test reports. The first calibration was easy. It takes about 10 minutes, but is super simple. When finished, I tested the meter against the solution and it was accurate. Way easier and more precise than test strips. One thing to note, the meter takes about 10-15 seconds to get a final reading. That's in line with test strips, so not a big deal. ... show more

  • Pretty accurate, but they don't offer replacement probes!
Was pretty accurate with regular calibrating, though the sensor broke and they don't offer replacements! I was happy with this until the sensor cracked out of nowhere. It wasn't dropped, or mishandled, or anything. No big deal, right? I'll just hop on to Amazon and order a couple probably inexpensive replacement bulbs and be back to brewing happily with my favorite little pH meter... Nope! They don't have replacements for the delicate part that most often breaks and needs to be replaced. WTF? If you are looking for a decent DISPOSABLE and TEMPORARY pH meter that you don't mind fully replacing soon, this ones for you! ... show more

  • Should be ready to go on arrival/ update. AWESOME customer service
I cant give a proper review because the meter was not calibrated when it showed up. I have several buffer products but non that work with this. It requires deionized water and since RO water wont work with the buffer powder they sent, I'll have to wait till I can find some deionized water before I can even use the damn thing. I will also have to buy the same type of buffer powder to recalibrated it after some time of use because I am forced to use the pack they sent with it just to calibrate. Update; After writing this review I was contacted by the seller, they help me trouble shoot the meter and after failing to calibrate, they offered to send another one out with expedient shipping. I was not expecting them to step in and take care of my issues before I even got a chance to ask. Thank u for your EXCELLENT customer service. ... show more
