  • Comfortable cool retro classic kicks
I usually wear Vans, sometimes Converse. These shoes are more comfortable than Converse for me, and are easier to break in. The shoes seem well constructed and sturdier than Converse as well. I can't really compare them with Vans as much with the exception of of the minimalist retro style and maybe the fit of the shoe too. Great shoe, I will probably be buying these instead of Converse as they seem more heavy duty and fit just right after only a day of wearing them! ... show more

  • Yes I can run faster and jump higher!
No I really can’t but wow do these look good. True to size (8 1/2 dark grey ) and very comfortable. Great for weight lifting, supports my ankles. Well made! Will buy in other colors soon.

  • Well made
These are excellent shoes! They would be a solid five stars if the sizing wasn’t strange.

  • Shoes that Represent Strength
There are 2 demographics for this type of shoe: 1. People who like the retro fashion look. 2. People who seriously do strength training in the powerlifts (squat, bench press, deadlift). I'm in category number 2. Converse Chuck Taylors are popular for weight lifting for the very reason that generates negative reviews for some users, and that is a minimal flat sole that lets you feel the floor and doesn't compress under heavy weight. However, Converse Chuck Taylors under Nike have gone down in quality for the price, and they run very narrow resulting in a clown shoe look if you have wide feet. I wanted to find an alternative rather than going to a dedicated weightlifting shoe and tried the Center Hi PF Flyers. Right away you will notice that they are just flat out higher quality. The last is also superior with a slightly wider toe box that makes all the difference in feel. For me, I ordered the same 10.5 size I got in Chucks, and it a superior fit. One thing that might alarm someone looking for a weightlifting shoe is the softer and more supportive insoles in the PF Flyers. I have found it to be a non-issue. While they are more comfortable to walk in, they still have the flat vulcanized rubber sole that doesn't compress under load, and the insole is not thick enough to cause significant enough compression to notice in a squat or deadlift. The insoles are removeable as well. If you hate the narrowness of Chucks, these deserve your attention. They have become scarce and I'm not sure if it's related to the pandemic or if New Balance is planning on discontinuing the brand. I urge you to write them and try to keep PF Flyers alive, and buy them while you still can because they are outstanding and deserve to be first place in this category. ... show more

  • Comfortable and Fashionable!
My only complaint is that the shoes do run tight. I'd recommend a half-size bigger than what you would normally wear. I wear a size 12 shoe, so I ordered a 12 and a half, and it works perfect!

  • Another hightop option
I love my high tops. Converse is my goto pairs but I wanted to give PFF a try. Surprisingly it has a bit more cushioned bottom and wider front for the toes. I look forward to try out the durability.
