I love these sunglasses, and get complements almost every time I wear them. I have wanted a pair of Persol for quite a while now and these were the perfect pair for me to start with. I wanted something a little more stylish to wear instead of my Wayfarers when I am dressing up for business or meeting clients. These are extremely well made and although the frames and glass lenses make them a little heavier than a wire framed sunglasses they are clearly made to last a lifetime if cared for. The two silver lines you see about halfway down the ear piece are flex areas that help provide tension I'm guessing to take the tension off the main hinge at the temple. It helps to give a nice snug fit, however I did take them into an eye glass store to have them put a slight bend at the end to help them fit a little better. They are pricier than many sunglasses but I tend to take care of my glasses so I felt the price was not an issue. I did buy the warranty for that "just in case" moment. ... show more

But the only things I can think of as cons are the price is high but reasonable and it does make you worry about your sunglasses more than you should, but the main problem I have is that they have a flexible arm with a break in the middle that lets the arms get wider so they don’t pinch your head I presume, but ultimately they want to slip off everytime I lower my head but they are movie star , classy and timeless as far as style and quality go. ... show more

While I believe this pair of sunglasses (Cobalto frame, gradient grey lenses) to be genuine Persol, it is most certainly NOT "new" merchandise, and is most likely a refurbished item. The way the box is embarrassingly held together with packing tape is the first clear indication of this. The acetate frames do have the right feel and flexibility, and the lenses pass the "tap" test for glass. Other details like the silver arrow alignment and Meflecto cylinders also check out, but there is clearly something amiss where the temple hinges meet the earstems (see pictures). In addition to the unpolished roughness of the inner curves, it very much has the appearance of the "burn" that certain adhesives can have on plastics, and it won't wash away. There was also some form of chemical residue all over the frame, but it did wash away with mild soap. For the price, I suppose it's a fair tradeoff. You're not going to save $100 on a pair of designer sunglasses without a good reason, and I think "refurbished" helps explain why there are so many satisfied reviews here as well as so many that believe they received fakes. ... show more

I bought two pair and I like these glasses a lot and got a good price. Only downside - clearly they were returned by someone as they seemed to have been fitted to another person's face first - guess that's why they were on sale. I'm keeping them.

Being a huge fan of Bruce Campbell I recently started rewatching Burn Notice, thanks to Prime, and I noticed Bruce wearing these sunglasses so I had to get a pair for myself and I love them. I did not expect to wear these every day since I have a pair of wayfarers that fit my face perfectly. These are polarized and beautifully block the sun and come with a great sturdy case with an awesome, oversized cleaning cloth(pay attention rayban) they also feel very well built. There is one drawback to these shades, they fit kind of loose on my face but I'm sure that can be fixed with a little adjustment ... show more
