It was a bit stiff out of the box, and slides off the fender easily; after a few uses it stays in place much easier. It keeps the paint from getting scratched (as long as the paint is clean and free of dust, debris, etc. that scrapes when it slides around), oil wipes off of it easily, and is a bit better than using an old towel. ... show more

Very light and durable, I use the fender cover to protect every single car that I work on, since I do automotive repairs. The only problem I do have, is that I feel like it’s to short. I wish it was a bit longer height wise. The material is actually pretty comfortable when your leaning onto it when doing any type of repairs and the fact that it’s thick, you don’t feel that much discomfort as if you were working with out it. Does cover a good portion of the vehicle but not 100% for my comfort especial since I’m working with several. But if your a DIY I would highly recommend it. ... show more

I've been working on cars for years now without one of this fender covers. My project car finally has a nice paint job, and this does a great job protecting it from scratches when reaching over the fender with tools in hand. It's fairly priced and saved me a trip to the store. I would, however, recommend that you use some masking tape to hold this down depending on the shape of your fender and if you work on cars outside in windy conditions - it has the tendency to slip off if not taped down. Works ok for covering a fender while working. Does not have any magnets or clips to help stay on the vehicle, and can easily be knocked off. Based on the vehicle you are working on, it has a tendency to slide off some vehicles that have more rounded fenders.

    • Nice fender cover.
This fender cover really worked out nice for me. It’s big so it covered a lot of area, especially over the fender. I was able to place tools and screws right on top without them disappearing into the engine bay.

great inexpensive choice, padded. I need to use these on a '47 ford sedan so the fenders are quite wide. I don't want anything that sticks or magnets because that brings along other potential and likely drawbacks I would not like. None of them are perfect but better than nothing.
