  • Great piece of equipment
This is really amazing. My husband and I have used it often. You have to download an app and your phone is what makes the goggles vr. Still really cool I would definitely recommend it

  • My kid loves it. Would recommend!
Great product. High quality materials for the magic tricks, high quality book, and easy to follow instructions. We’ve actually seen an improvement in his public speaking and confidence after about a month of using this. Highly recommended for anyone.

  • Missing Parts Warning
I gave the magic kit as a gift and the recipient was excited. However, we both were disappointed to find that a small piece necessary for one of the tricks was missing, making it impossible to perform the trick that the piece involved. I contacted Abacus by e-mail message (without receiving a reply) and subsequently by telephone, asking whether it might ship the missing piece. The customer service agent was very nice but informed me that Abacus could not ship a single missing piece and that, since the kit no longer was in new condition, it could not effectuate an exchange. Thus, there is no obvious remedy should your kit be missing one or more parts. ... show more

  • Enn & Teller set
Some less than durable components as found in most magic starter sets. Great for my grandsons though. One has ADHD and is able to improve focus with these effects. thanx. Ric (the Vision Magician)

  • Great magic set for beginners though the VR is almost more of a gimmick.
We ordered this as a birthday present for our 13yr old son, and though it's intended for 8-12, it resonated with him just fine. The initial excitement has worn off but he still likes to play with it. It's a pretty well built set with many of the classic tricks that are easy to learn. His favorite is the folding coin since the coin looks very real and it can fit in a bottle. He'll ask for a coin from a quarter from a friend, then swap it in his hand. (The book talks about this!) Speaking of the book, there is a physical book that appears to have everything the "VR" app does. The VR app is just a normal phone app that you can use without VR. In this case, "VR" means you stick it in a Google Cardboard-like plastic case and strap the phone to your head. They do have some nifty stuff in the VR edition, but overall, it's more of a gimmick to me and not at all needed. Doesn't take away from the set though. If you're already a fan Penn and Teller (who isn't?!) you'll love learning this way. Honestly, as an adult that hasn't done much with classic magic, I found this entertaining for a good bit too. Great gift for someone starting out that need a set. ... show more

  • Over Priced Junk
It’s just a box of extremely overpriced plastic junk. I was very disappointed, I returned it rather than give my grandson more crap. If you have a child who wants to learn magic, buy them tricks from a real magic shop. Use the internet for instruction. Penn and Teller should be ashamed, aren’t they rich enough? Why sell junk that’s harmful to the planet? As we all know plastic is. ... show more
