Haven’t worn yet, but right away see it is a great find. Light grey is so elegant with proper length, so you can even pull it a bit higher to make it a high waist skirt, and still have knees covered. Very versatile styling up or down. It has a lining and a zipper on the back with a top button on inside. Very impressed! The only thing that I would change is the split on the back - it is just a plead, no opening and when I walk it warps a bit in a weird way, but some may appreciate it for the modesty factor. Yes, I tried several of the $30 and under midi length pencil skirts on Amazon, all of which turned out to be super tight stretch fabric tubes. They could only look good on a perfect figure, because every bulge - and I mean every - showed, and the seams puckered. I finally gave in and bought this skirt, and though the cost is painful, it is a classic style, tailored and well made. An investment; not fast fashion. I have similar skirts I've worn over a decade and are still going strong. The fabric is woven, not knit, with enough viscose to breath so will be cooler for summer, yet heavy enough for all seasons. Some have mentioned it not having much "give". That is because it is a tailored skirt, thus the reason it is sized by actual women's size numbers, not small, medium large etc.. Because of that, if sized right, it is flattering for those without tightly toned abs and behind. It's not a show stopper on its own; but an understated background for whatever top and shoes we wear. Sizing - I first ordered a 6 and while it could have worked, it was a tighter than I like for tucking in blouses and modesty. The 8 is perfect - fits well, hangs a little lower on my waist, hides imperfections, but still looks slim and tailored. So if you lean toward the upper threshold of your size range when it comes to pants and skirts, you may want to go larger. I have two of these now - stone and navy. Stone has a kick pleat for leg movement, navy has a modest slit. (Picture 3). I like the slit better so at some point will turn the pleat into a slit. Be aware that not all are exactly alike in this. I'm very frugal, so take the fact that I'm willing to spend nearly $70 on a skirt as a testimony to how highly I regard this piece of clothing! ... show more

I wear a black pencil skirt with a lot of my cool jackets. My old one got too big and was wearing out so I combed the stores and internet looking for another one. This one was the best I found -- it looks professional, the fabric is not flimsy, and it's not too tight to walk in. I would have preferred it a little longer, though -- I will have to wear pantyhose or knee-length stockings with it, where I could get away with just tall socks with my old one. ... show more

Love this skirt. This is exactly what I was looking for in a skirt and at a reasonable price. It fits like it was made for me and that is rare for me.. (I was in between measurements so I went up a size.) Appearance: Nice smooth textured matte color fabric. Fabric: 63% Polyester, 32% Viscon and 5% EA. (This is what is written on the tag). I don’t find cleaning instructions. but I believe they’re in the description. Construction: High waist and waist band is approximately 2-3” wide. There is no stretch to the waistband. Waist is top stitched both top and bottom. There is a hidden zipper with button and tab closure at top of zipper INSIDE. There is an extra button sewn on to a tag inside the skirt. There are no pockets. There are no darts, but I think it fits just as well as if it did. There are two side seams and a back seam with an open pleat in the back approximately 9” long. It is completely lined. I am 5’6” tall and the length of the skirt is about 6” above my ankle. ... show more

I have this skirt in blue and I love the fit so much that I bought it in copper/brown. However the fit of the brown was not the same as the blue skirt. The brown skirt was baggy/too big in the waist and too tight in the hip. How can this be when it’s the same exact skirt but just a different color? I wanted to return but I didn’t try the brown skirt on until after the deadline, because I assumed it would fit like the blue skirt. MISTAKE! I usually give a long length of time before I rate a product. I received this on Tuesday. Honestly, I kept my expectations low. As, I'm sure you would agree, buying clothes online can be frustrating. Getting back to my point. I got this on Tuesday, I immediately wore it that night. The quality of the garment surprised me, it has a very nice lining, although you might want to wear tights underneath as the winter air can be a bit of a shock. It doesn't last long though. The length was mid-chin, the slit stopped at the back of my knee. (33" inseam) It has a hidden button at the top of the zipper in the back. The material did not feel cheap, it was soft but not clingy and it flowed nice past the hip area down to the hem. It passed the dog jumping on you test, no snags, dirt and snow brushed right off. It handled frequently getting in and out of the car, not twisting into a mess. The color is a true black. All in all very happy I purchased this skirt! ... show more
