I have been using a pair of Tommaso shoes, with the three velcro straps. Decent shoes for the price, but the straps never really got tight enough. The Peloton shoes fit well and tighten up much better than the Tommaso's I own. The buckle/strap at the ankle is a game changer, let's you tighten the shoe up well, without choking out your ankle. Shoes are a must when riding a peloton, standard spin shoes do not fit the clips for the peloton bike. These shoes have a small toe box, so for people who suffer from a Morton's neuroma, these will cause some discomfort, especially if you stand up to ride. Clips, despite being tightened with an allen wrench (provided), still feel loose on one shoe, not sure if its the shoe or the pedal. I purchased these without any indication that they had been opened or returned. There is a scratch on the bottom of the shoes indicating use and one bolt is missing which is required for mounting the clips. This is disappointing.
