Top Amazon Reviews

  • Extremely worthwhile purchase.
Size: Ford F-150 Raptor F150 2011+
This review is based on my use of this with a 2016 F150 XLT 4x4 with the 5.0 V8. First of all, it is very easy to install. However, when you're taking the wire harness off the truck's pedal controller, there's a tab that you lift up first, then a tab inside the connector that you push inward (sideways) then lift off the controller. Knowing that first will reduce some frustration. Anyway, on to the review: To establish a baseline, my truck does have a performance tune from More Power Tuning's SCT+ tuner. It's got a catback custom off road exhaust where I used two Magnaflow mufflers in line. It's quiet, meaning you can't really hear it idling, but if you get on the pedal it sounds like a truck. It has a CAI from S&B. Everything else performance wise is stock. I ran the cable in between the dash and steering column for a neat, clean look. First start out of the garage, I decided to go for the gusto with Sport+4. I didn't think think this controller was going to make a huge difference. Boy, was I wrong! With the first step on the gas I realized that I was probably going to be turning it down a bit. If you have this truck, you know it has "Sport" mode on the shifter. This Pedal Commander unit totally replaces that button on the shifter. Its not that you can't use it, but it's overkill to the point of impeding drivability. I will likely reserve the truck's stock sport mode to when the Pedal Commander is turned off. In other words, when my wife drives the truck ;) This unit makes the truck quicker due to no lag in the throttle response,Which is essentially what the truck's stock sport mode does, only this unit can do it much more aggressively or much less aggressively, depending on how you set it up. I find that for me, the Pedal Commander sport mode (vs sport+) makes for more controlability. Probably Sport level 2-4 for most driving. For congested driving, I'd definitely turn it down to "City" or just off altogether (Wife mode). I like the fact that you can switch it up on the fly, unlike my performance tune. I haven't had much time other than that to horse around with it, but I can see this thing being a whole lot of fun! Here's a picture of my install. Update after about a month : I still love this gadget. Was even thinking of getting one for my work truck, but $300 is a little steep. I find though that for the best control (power vs drivabilty) the Sport mode level 2 is best all around. I have stock tires though. With bigger tires, you might kick it up a notch or two past that. Also just as cool is that if you actually can manage to not have a lead foot (tough, i know) you can use this thing to save gas quite a bit because you just barely have to touch the pedal to get going. I can't imagine not having this thing now. It's a ton of fun! ... show more

  • Made V8 come alive!
Size: Ford Trucks F250, F350, F450, F550 2011+
Very pleased with the results. I leave it in City mode at +2. Truck responds immediately and proportionately to pedal. Stock, the pedal would feel spongey and the V8 seemed weak unless you really mash the pedal down. Now, you just press and there is no mushy pedal, just an instant linear response. The engine doesn't produce any more power, it just gets to what it has quickly and in direct response to pedal press. I really like it!! Feels more powerful and responsive. I haven't towed with it yet, so I am expecting better response and cruise control performance where it will hold a speed going over an overpass without slamming down two gears and flooring it after it bogs a bit going up do to poor acceleration response. I'll let you know how that goes, but regardless, it already is worth the cost to me. Love the 1 to 1 pedal response with no lag. If you are on the fence about the purchase, just do it. I think you will be pleased. I have a 2020 F-250 with 6.2l gas engine with 6 speed transmission. ... show more

  • Bottom Line Up Front: A good buy.
Size: Ford F-150 Raptor F150 2011+
After some time of using this product, here is a bottom line up front Review. 1) A great buy that brings your truck to life. 2) Install is just as easy as they claim, it took me 5 minutes from unboxing to use. 3) Eliminates almost all lag in digital throttle response and as claimed, adds no HP or Torque. 4) Though the product looks a bit tacky, the mounting kit is top notch if you choose to install the product on your dash. 5) The application is basic yet functions exactly as sold. It took 2 minutes to download and connect. I have tucked the head behind the center console and out of sight and strictly use the app now. ***The following is for my Ford Raptor**** 6) City (0) is very controllable for my wife yet puts a smile on her face. This mode still eliminates the lag. MPG average 15. 7) Sport (0) is a great setting for the spirited driver. MPG average is 13. This mode makes you want to drive fast. 8) Sport Plus (0) is a bit too much for city/highway use IMHO but if I was to ever race my truck, that’s where it would be. MPG average is 10. 9) Bonus, Eco (0) forces you to take it easy, meaning great for valet drivers but also easy on the wallet and great for driving the grandparents around. MPG average 21! Just to test it after some use, I turned it off to see what stock was and I immediately noticed a considerable lag (1-1.5 seconds) from when power was demanded and when power was applied. Though a bit expensive, this is the only modification I can do at the moment and not void the warranty, yet it brings the car to life and gives the only flexibility the car did not provide from the manufacture. ... show more

  • My 6.2 f250 now has instant acceleration
Size: Ford Trucks F250, F350, F450, F550 2011+
Easy to install, cord could be a little longer for easier routing. Takes a little getting used to it, but it's worth the money. I don't think you'd be disappointed. I also have a Thornton chip and ase cold air intake. All have got me to just short of 500 hp.
