We bought these to be used along side our recliners in our family room. Assembly: I am an experienced handyman, so assembly was easy for me and took 20 minutes. There was only one tool required (i.e. an allan wrench) and it was included in the box. Only the caddy needed assembly; the trays came fully assembled. You need to be careful to not use too much force when tightening the screws. I would also suggest using some wood glue on the caps. I was able to just use pressure to seat them, but I may be gluing them later. Pros: Trays fully assembled. Decent pine quality with light, clear varnish finish. Instructions brief and to the point. All pieces appeared to fit as designed. Only single tool required. Cons: Some minor imperfections; however, nothing that would interfere with function or visually distracting. Made of soft pine. Caddy is good for holding them, but not good for carrying them across the house without two hands. Would I recommend to my friends: Absolutely. ... show more

Just received these and I must say I am very pleased with this purchase. My intended use was for my kids to use for lunch and snacks while in the family room, however I find myself using them to work on my laptop at night. Now, I don't need to go all they down to my office to work, i can just pull one of these trays out and work right in my living room. Size of the table are perfect for my intended use. Very nice light oak finish and assembly was a breeze. Only assembly is the storage rack to house the 4 trays. The 4 trays do come fully assembled. Light weight, but still very sturdy when in use. My 7 and 8 year old love that they can just go and grab one on their own and do not need any help to take off the storage rack and set up in front of the couch. I have had these for a little while now, and I still use them regularly. They are about as sturdy as a trey like this can be, but I mean, they aren't like a real table. They work as they are intended, as a temporary surface that can be moved around and stored when you don't need them. The storage rack is handy too, as it has a handle so you can move it around with the trays with ease. I'd buy them again, but I probably won't have to as they have held up for years. They are made of some kind of engineered board, but not the sawdust "particle" board, it is a sturdier wood than that. I recommend. ... show more

These tables & stand are obviously hand-picked lumber, the wood grain matches in all four tables. Beautifully sanded & coated, even the handles to the stand natch wood grain through-out. I highly reccomend; this is an investment into convenience furniture, masterfully crafted. Thank you so much@
