  • Needs Structural Changes
Let me start with what I don't like. This stand is lightweight, and the feet on the stand make me uneasy that my instruments might easily fall. The clamp that secures the viola in place is made of flimsy plastic. I do like the bracing leg on the back which supports the entire stand. I've compared it to two other violin stands, all of which have deficiencies and although I have my fears, I decided to keep it and try it out for my 14-inch viola. At least on this one, my viola sits up straight and not at an angle like one of the other ones I've tried. It is not the best one that I've used, but it is okay for a small instrument. I would not use it for my 15-inch viola. ... show more

  • Buy it. It is worth it.
Does exactly what it says it does. Holds my Violin perfectly. Very adjustable. So I positioned it just the way I want it. Glad I made this purchase. I bought this stand to use for in between practicing. I kept having to set my violin on my recliner because it’s a pain putting it in my case for a few minutes then having to take it back out over and over. This stand is exactly what I needed. Great product. Very well made. Very light. ... show more

  • Good for home
Very light weight, will be good for home use, but I would be wary of using it out at all, as it seems it would tip easy. I wish the feet were a little heavier. I got it for home use, so it is perfect for what I got it for. Wouldn't necessarily buy again, I would probably opt for something a bit more sturdy. ... show more

  • Works well for standard violins but not for some electric violins
This stand works well enough for standard violins, but even with all its adjustments, I could not make it hold my electric violin securely. The horizontal supports are too short to support the instrument by its body, which has a permanently attached Kun-style shoulder rest. When supported on the shoulder rest, the weight of the violin makes it almost tip out unless the neck strap is fastened. The neck support rod needs to be extended all the way up for the bow hanger to be tall enough to hang a full size bow. Otherwise, the stand is nicely designed and seems well made. ... show more

  • tips over with the instrument in it
very portable, folds down to almost nothing. easy to carry around. the stand doesn't hold the instrument safely. it will tip over. the instrment doesn't fit in the slots. you have to remove the shoulder rest each time you place the instrument on it. the inglis is safer.

  • Plastic. Ok for home use, but not for gigs
Works fine at home. Wouldn't take it to a gig. Made of plastic. The spring tension on the bow holder was super loose so the bow would fall down on the holder. Hubby stretched the spring so it now stays. Wouldn't take it in the car to a gig. It would easily get broken.

  • Stand is perfect, well constructed and fits my violin great
Stand is perfect, well constructed and fits my violin great, even with the shoulder rest on. I have attached a photo with the shoulder rest on and one without it.

  • Nice compact stand.
This is a really nice Violin/Viola stand that folds to a compact size and has a case to boot. It does have a lot of moving parts that fold this way and that, but it is made with good construction and holds my instruments safely.
