  • Performance, Value and Comfort!
Size: 7 Color: Palegoldenrod
I was in the market for a pair of basketball shoes that I could use for playing on outdoor basketball courts and possibly use for tennis(if they fit and provided the stability for that) when playing casual matches. I would wear dedicated Tennis shoes for a league or aggressive tennis match. I normally wear Kobe’s in size 7 for indoor basketball and volleyball. I’m really a 6.5 but have a slightly wide forefoot so 90%!of the time I just wear size 7 athletic shoes. For wise, the size 7 fits perfect. I replaced the insole with a Sof Sole Insert from Amazon as I do with most athletic shoes. The Sof Sole insert is thicker and provides greater cushion and support than the stock insert. So today I went to meet a friend to play tennis this morning and decided to try the new shoes. To put it mildly, I was extremely happy to see that they are incredibly comfortable to play tennis in. The traction is great, the lateral stability is great, they are lightweight compared to my Babolat Propulse Tennis shoes. I rely on speed and agility in my sports. I’m not big/tall but am quick and coordinated. In younger days could run the 40 in 4.2 seconds. Still quick and agile for my age. Are they the equivalent of say my Kobe’s? No, but close. The Kobe’s feel a little more quicker/efficient and laterally stiffer as a shoe and more stabile. The Peak’s feel better to my feet though comfort and impact wise though. Also, I should note that even though I know and acknowledge that the Peaks aren’t as stiff, lateral supportive or efficient in transferring energy to move on, especially on the first few steps, it didn’t matter in reality. It’s not like I was thinking damn I feel like I’m slow or can’t get to the ball and do the footwork to address the ball correctly. I am very pleased with these shoes, unlike other athletic shoes,‘I could play without any foot discomfort of breaking in new shoes, hot spots/blisters which is quite a pleasant surprise for me. As such I plan to purchase some more pairs in other colors. For the price point, performance and comfort(with the Sof Sole Insert), it can’t be beat! ... show more

  • Clean, Light, and Better Than Expected
Size: 10 Color: Silvery Gray
As a lifelong Nike/Jordan wearer, I was hesitant to purchase a non-Nike brand to play ball in. However, since moving next to an outdoor court, I've burned through my high dollar Jordan Brand kicks and was looking for a low cost alternative. I found these, read the reviews, and took a chance. After all, free returns. I just received these today and I can say I'm very impressed. I normally wear a 10.5, but opted for the 10 as I know Nike's run a little smaller. They fit perfectly! Out of the box I'll enumerate each feature then update after I've played in them: Toe box: Plenty of room to wiggle the toes and seems breathable Arch: Comfortable arch, not too high, not too low Heel: Cushioned and cups the heel nicely Insole: Lightly cushioned, which explains the bad review on cushioning. However, I wear Spenco insoles in all my ballin' shoes so it's no issue for me. Lateral support: Just cutting left to right on my tile flooring seems stable, but I'll update once I take to the court. Lacing: It's a secure fit and the laces seem to come across the instep at the right spots. The lacing into the mid-top/ankle keep it snug, but I will update again once I play in them. Outsole: Feels like a thick, hard rubber compound for playing on outdoor courts (duh). I'll update with traction/grip once they're played in. Last but not least, appearance: Well you guys see the pictures. They are nice! I purchased the Grey/White model which is a very clean look. The two pair of lace tabs have a strip reflective material, which is a nice addition. The upper material is a mesh design over what reminds me of Nike's Flyknit, wrapped with a seemingly durable synthetic rubber. The mid-sole is bold but shaped nicely to give it a cushioned, aerodynamic look. Like I mentioned before, I will update my review with actually playing experience in a competitive environment at first chance. The one cringe-worthy issue I have with them so far is that they're a Chinese company and I hate to give US money to the Chi-comms. I hope this review helps many of you decide. ... show more

  • Good
Size: 10 Color: Pink
Good shoes. Decent price. Not as much grip on the basketball court compared to other shoes. Run true to size and more comfortable than other shoe companies.

  • surprisingly good shoes
Size: 9.5 Color: Midnight Sandybrown
these shoes really exceeded my expectations. I used them for about 3 weeks already, played indoors, great traction, light weight and comfortable. I would buy more to rotate. I guess I'm saying goodbye to Nike

  • FORM over function
Size: 9 Color: Silvery Gray
These look nice, with lots of choices in colors, and the price is very reasonable. But in NO WAY do these compete with the name brand basketball shoes in terms of performance. The heal seat is good. It is supportive and balanced. My biggest issue is with the outsole at the ball of the foot, which is oddly asymmetrical, with more material on one side than the other. That causes my foot to shift to the side with less support as I put my weight on it. That could lead to an injury. When playing basketball, the sole feels more spongy than a basketball shoe should. If you using these for a casual stroll in the mall, you probably good. But if you plan to work out in these at the gym or on the court, I cannot recommend them. ... show more
