We just recently got a switch for our two boys 8 and 5. My 8yo is a bit autistic and is a wiz with all the games we’ve played this far. He absolutely destroys me in MK8. And I’m not terrible. He’s just VERY good. But we needed something more elementary for the 5yo. Paw patrol is perfect for him. With a little instruction from me and his big bro he’s getting the hang of it. It’s pretty simple but not so boring and easy that they’ll lose interest quickly. And yea it is a 2 player game. And they have to work together as a team. As I type this I’m sitting here on the couch while they play next to me. Playing mostly nice instead of beating the shit out of each other as usual. Well, less than usual anyway. ... show more

    • 4 Year old Obsessed! - But Glitchy
My 4 year old is obsessed with this game! It’s very age appropriate and she absolutely loves it. There was a weird issue with it yesterday though. I’m guessing a glitch…you’re supposed to switch between one of two characters when playing in one player mode by pressing L1 to complete certain missions. Yesterday she was like “Mommy! I can’t do this.” I’m like “Yes, you can keep trying.” Finally I went to take a look and sure enough it was not switching to the other puppy in order to pass the mission and there is no way to pass without being able to do this. I ended up closing the software assuming it’s a glitch. Will see if it works today when she plays again after the reset. Jus a bummer as I’m trying to teach her problem solving and to work through these puzzles and it wasn’t working as it was before so she could pass the level. ... show more

I was very worried this would be to hard for my 4 year old but it wasn’t. I showed him how to play once and he has had no problem. The game goes thru stories sort of as the levels and it’s very realistic. My son loves playing this game. There’s also extra “levels” if you don’t want to be in the story part of it, very catchy one is the pup pup boogey song! I highly recommend for the younger kids! ... show more
