Color: Green
They work and look great! Super bright and really make the instrument cluster look more aftermarket. I would've given 5 stars but I've already had two of the LED bulbs go out. I've have them installed about 4 months so far. UPDATE: These lights after about 6 months will start flashing and going on and off, its very annoying, and its a big pain taking the dash apart every couple of months to replace a bulb that will just stop working in a month or so. ... show more

  • A Very Bright Idea
Color: Blue
I bought these for my '97 Toyota and they're an easy fit. These things are bright as...well, they're pretty bright! They are polarized so you need to check them before putting everything back together and spin them 180 degrees if they don't light up. Did I mention they are bright? On an unrelated note, since I had several spares when done I used two of them in an old turntable having 8-volt bulbs. They are still very, very bright and if you bend the wires a little the LEDs (the blue part) firmly plug right into an E10 screw base. The pix are of the original bulbs with the LEDs, the back of my instrument cluster (I checked the polarities because I'm lazy), the new bulbs in operation (in the daylight) and the last one is the turntable socket. ... show more

  • Video Review
Color: Blue
The media could not be loaded. Fun and inexpensive way to to create a new look. If you are even only slightly mechanically inclined you can probably handle this. Just be methodical and go gentle on the plastic pieces of your car's interior. If my quick video helps you visualize the results you can expect on your own rig let know with a helpful vote and I'll attempt more video reviews on future purchases. to the naysayers; so say these were polarity marked. is the back of you cluster also marked so you can know they match up? ultimately, it's really easy to make few flips. if you read the item description (and a few reviews) it is plain as day that this is just how it is with leds. what kind of person down-rates a "really great" item for being exactly as described? seems everybody else somehow managed to do this without taking the cluster completely off and on bunch of times. ... show more

  • Frustrating install, and not as bright as I had hoped.
Color: Blue
I put these lights in my 2002 Ford Ranger. It's infuriating how there's no way to tell what direction to install these lights. Even the directions say to flip a coin try it one way and then figure it out later if the bulb doesn't light. I had to remove my instrument cluster 3 times to get them all the right direction and I'm still second guessing myself if they are all actually lit or not (depending on where the dash looks a little too dim), but I'm not tearing apart the dash again for this guesswork. The blue LEDs are a very super saturated deep blue. I was hoping for a brighter kind of modern light blue. The darker color makes it difficult to read the numbers around the gauges. The gauge needles turned out 4x brighter than the lettering, so its not exactly what I was after. This may be because the ranger has a green tinted filter behind the gauges that's canceling out the light in ways I wasn't expecting. I may switch to a bright white LED in the future, but I was really hoping to get away from the drab ranger green. On the plus side, my dimmer roller works exactly as it did before, full range from dim to bright. Photo attached. ... show more

  • Bright, look good, need directional indicators
Color: White
I bought two packs because my instrument cluster uses 20 bulbs. Upon initial installation 5 out of each bag did not work. They are LED so they are directional. I had to turn them around 180 degrees and now they all work. There is no directional indicator on them to show the correct orientation so the only answer is trial-and-error. That might sound minor but... It is a lot of difficult work to get the instrument cluster out and there is no way to test it without completely re-installing it. It actually took several tries before getting every bulb corrected. so I am very disappointed to have to do it so many times. Once installed they are super bright and look really great in the car. I suppose the extra effort is reasonable payoff for the low price. ... show more

  • Upgraded my ‘99 GMC Sierra 1500 to blue LED
Color: Blue
These are blue LED replacements for the instrument cluster general illumination old incandescent bulbs. NOT the blinkers, warning lights, high beam, and cruise indicator type bulbs. Yes, they work just fine. Removing and reinstalling the instrument cluster is the hard part. I see reports of bad bulbs. Mark that up to inexperience. The wires on the new LED bulbs must be aligned correctly (possibility one), the bulbs must be inserted correctly in the new smaller black carriers (possibility two), and the most common, I suspect, is installed backwards (possibility three and most likely) through no fault of the installer. Just remove the new LED bulb and turn it 180° and reinstall. If it still doesn’t work, try installing one of the good incandescent bulbs as a test. If it works, build up a new LED bulb assembly and try again. Remember to reverse it if the new bulb doesn’t work. You will most likely have a few spare bulbs. ... show more

  • Cool Blue - Wish they were brighter though
Color: Blue
Due to a bulb burnout, I installed these in my '88 Toyota pickup. I only had to pull a partial part of the dash to do the replacements, and either I got lucky with the polarity, or it doesn't matter, as both lit right up (I only have 2 bulbs behind my panel, other than the warning lights), and the effect is nice, however, for mini-COB 194 LEDs, I was hoping for them to be brighter. You can always dim them with the dial, but it would be nice if they were brighter set to the max if you needed it. In the photo, they are set to the max, and the photo shows them brighter than they actually are, but again, blue over the original green is an improvement. This kit comes with the twist-lock housings, and a bag set of bulbs (not sure why they included these). The 194 LEDs snap right into the housings, and are pretty secure, and they should last longer than the vehicle. I would go 5 stars if they were brighter. If you have multiple lights in your cluster, then they might be brighter for you. ... show more
