Decided to replace my old ligjts on my camper and purchsed these. I am very pleased with them. They are well made, price was great, and they were easy to replace. What a differnce they make. Much brighter then the old regular bulb ones. Will be purchasing more to replace all my other trailer lights.

I bought the set of 7 each, red and amber to replace the 5 each on our 2009 Class C that we bought recently. I've done much more involved modifications, so the thought of modifying these for the installation wasn't a concern. One of the pictures I’ve uploaded shows the mod process. #1 is the unit as received with the lens cover removed (incidentally the LED’s light up orange). #2 is with a 1/4” hole drilled just below and between the 2 dimples for the circuit board mounting pegs. #3 is looking at the front as I pushed/pulled the wires into the unit and fed them under the circuit board out the new hole. #4 is the backside after both wires are rerouted. #5 is the finished product ready to go install. Since they're not exactly the same shape, I removed the old units and scraped and buffed the fiberglass to get rid of the stains etc in the ring around the base. Since several of the screws in the old units broke off while trying to remove them, I did need to offset these, as the screw hole spacing is the same. I drilled 1/8” holes for the new screws (need to ream them a little, the cheap screws will break if you’ve got aluminum behind the fiberglass like I do) and installed the new lights. Like many LED products these are polarity sensitive, so what I did was put inline crimp connectors on both wires coming out of the lights and used one of them as a tester to discover the polarity of the two black wires from the RV in each of the 5 holes. I turned on the RV lights and as I tested each set of the 5, I bent the Positive side to the Left, and the Negative to the right, then began installing each light. I applied silicone to the backside of the unit around the screw holes and the new cable hole, as well as on the mounting area around the 1” diameter hole the old unit’s grommets used. As I got ready to install the last unit, Murphy arrived on the scene, see the second picture…. I noticed that all of the lights were only lighting up 4 of the 10 LEDs, 2 on each side?!! Definitely one of those WTF moments. Well I stuck the new unit in place and now all 5 were acting the same. Realize that I had tested the units on a 12v battery on my workbench, so they were good before installing. After reviewing the problem in my 70+ brain, I thought about having run lights and other items for a few days (off and on), maybe the truck battery was low. Sure enough, the truck wouldn’t start! So add a “Low Battery” check to the quirks/features of these lights. Time will tell how well these hold up, to sunlight, rain, and dirt. Sometime down the road I'll update this review with any problems I note, at least I have two spares for both ends of the RV. ... show more

The mounting plate is very thin and the wire exit location is anything but desirable. Don’t expect a drop in replacement for standard higher quality ones. They are of decent brightness for what I paid I can’t complain but only time will tell how they hold up. I tried to use rivets to fasten since I couldn’t access the backside and the plastic buckled under that little of pressure. Although I only needed two of each color, this set was most feasible to purchase. I’m sure I’ll use the others on the future. These are a descent quality, they are much brighter than the single bulb and sturdy for the application.
