  • Fair quality, slightly outrageous price
Color: One Color Size: One Size
I'm torn on this set... Overall, the tools are of pretty good quality. Certainly nicer than anything you'd from most Chinese produced tools but still lacking the finish and refinement of high end tools (Snap-on, Mac, etc). I'm not sure I would call these professional "shop" quality. For the price, it should come with a real case--the included plastic storage tray is super cheesy. It's WAY too tall and will not fit in anything but the deep drawers of your toolbox. Fit of the tools on nuts and bolts is good and everything functions well. If it came with a real case and had a better selection of small hex sockets, I would easily rate this 5 stars. It's not quite up to the standards I would expect from Park Tool but it will serve it's purpose in my toolbox. Pros: A wide assortment of hex, torx and sockets that will fit 90% of hardware on most bikes. Fit on hardware is good and I don't foresee any issues with rounding off any hardware. Cons: The tray to hold the tools is pure crap--it really needs a blown molded case. Does not include 2mm and 2.5mm hex sockets, which are common sizes used on many Shimano components (particularly the 2.5mm). ... show more

  • Highly Recommend
Color: One Color Size: One Size
This is the bit set to get if you work on bikes at all. They are machines perfectly, and have every size of sockets you might need, and all the hex sizes above and including 3mm. Why on earth I would ever need a 16mm hex, I have no clue, but if I do, Park tool has got me covered. This set has a heavy price, but it’s worth it. A lot of reviews mention that there is no case, but I am not traveling with this big of a set, and it comes in a very nice plastic organizer, that is the same dimensions as the inside of the box it comes with, and the cardboard box closes like any other, so I don’t see why people can’t just use that. All in all, it’s a great set, and I’m glad I didn’t buy the smaller one, as these will last the rest of my life. Highly recommend. 4 stars because of the price. Although it is worth it, it’s still really expensive. Edit after a month: all the bits are great and they don’t strip at all, but I wish there was a short-reach T25, but I’ll live ... show more

  • Cheap box and poor quality
Color: One Color Size: One Size
I’ve come to really appreciate the quality of Parktools and I don’t mind paying the premium price for them. This socket set is a real disappointment first of all it only comes in a cardboard box instead of a carrying case of any type. It also lacks quality components And looks like they were machined in China at a discount. Come on Parktool you can do better than this! ... show more

  • Two stars for blatantly taking advantage
Color: One Color Size: One Size
It seems like Park Tools is taking advantage of it’s market position delivering less than it could at a much higher than reasonable price point. 37 bits for $150 is unreasonable. The entire storage system is open to ridicule. If I could find an alternative to Park Tools I would. I don’t like the way they operate. ... show more

  • Good Park Tool Quality assumed but
Color: One Color Size: One Size
For the money I was expecting at least a high quality molded case or pouch to hold the sockets and bits, instead you get a cheap thin plastic holder.

  • Everything you need and nothing you don't
Color: One Color Size: One Size
Unless you perform a lot a wrenching on you bike or bikes, this set is probably in excess of the needs of most home mechanics. The basic sockets and hex bits can be purchased for a fraction of the prices as part of general socket sets, but what makes this set unique is that you get almost every possible bicycle related socket and bit (the exceptions are the very small 2/2.5/3mm bits), and nothing you don't. The long reach bits mean you are able to reach all bolts, and the flat faced sockets remove the risk of damaging your suspension by rounding off the aluminum top caps. The only very minor downside is that the plastic tray is deeper than I expected, so it only fits in the deepest tray of my tool cabinet. ... show more

  • They should include a case for the price.
Color: One Color Size: One Size
The tools seem high quality. They are expensive (as are most Park Tools. But they work. I marked them as average because - Other tools would work just as well, and, - They should include a nice case for the price.
