I'm a recovering biologist and the one thing I missed from the lab was this amazing product -- I always thought it would have been perfect for the kitchen -- and it is! It is great for covering containers without lids, creating a waterproof airtight seal (awesome!). Use it on the top of bottles of anything carbonated to keep the fizziness in (yay!) Use it on the side of non-watertight lids/caps to make them watertight (woohoo!). If you haven't used this stuff before, there will be a little bit of a learning curve to get the hang of judging how much you need to cut off, how to anchor one end, pulling it around the container and attaching the Parafilm to itself on the other side; but once you have that down, this is a great product and yes, it is expensive but it goes a loo-o-o-o-ong way. ... show more

It works as intended. Plenty of stretch and it seals well. It's expensive as hell, that's why it loses 2 stars. I am undecided as to whether the tackiness of it while applied is good or bad. It'll stick to stuff a bit if left in one spot for a bit.
